[Dynasty] 2018 Draft Class (10 Viewers)

Colorado State senior WR Michael Gallup is one of Pro Football Focus's All-Americans through week 10.

Gallup (6'1/203) not only makes the team, he has the third-highest grade of any player on the team (93.2) behind Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield (95.4) and Arkansas center Frank Ragnow (93.8). The senior wideout already has amassed 1,201 yards and 76 catches with six touchdowns, and with fortunate health, will see his numbers rank among the best of any wideout in the Mountain West Conference in several years. The Rams and Gallup take on Boise State on Saturday.

Pitt junior RB Darrin Hall ran for 123 yards and four scores on 23 carries in a 34-31 loss to North Carolina on Thursday.

You certainly can't blame Hall for this loss. The 5-foot-11, 215-pound tailback was outstanding for the Panthers, and if Pitt had a semblance of a passing game, they pull this one out. His seven-yard score brought Pittsburgh to within 4 at 14-10, and a one-yard plunge a series later made it 17-14 Panthers. A nine-yard spring in the middle of the third tied the game at 24-24, and another one-yard drive gave Pitt their last lead at 31-27. In a very disappointing year, the development of Hall over the last month is one of the few bright spots for Pittsburgh this year. A tough date with Virginia Tech comes next week.

ESPN's Mel Kiper currently sees Syracuse senior WR Steve Ishmael as a Day 3 pick, but he thinks Ishmael could rise during the pre-draft process if he runs well at the scouting combine.

Ishmael is coming off another big game, dropping a 12-143-1 receiving line against Florida State on Saturday while sometimes matched up across from potential first-round pick Tarvarus McFadden. "Ishmael has a big frame (6-2, 215 pounds) and is a good route runner," Kiper wrote. "He can separate late on routes. He has also played some in the slot, so he can be versatile, and he's not afraid to go over the middle and make contested catches. Ishmael is just a smart, polished receiver." Steve's brother Falcons safety Kemal Ishmael was picked in the seventh round in 2013.

ESPN's Todd McShay says Tennessee State senior WR Patrick Smith's draft stock has moved up to earlier in Day 3 this season.

Per McShay, Smith was considered a late-Day 3 pick coming into the campaign. This season, he's inched himself up the Day 3 ladder. Smith does have a few big things going against him. For one, he plays against inferior competition in the FCS. For two, the converted high school quarterback has mediocre measurables at 5-foot-10, 194 pounds with a 4.55 40-yard dash. Despite that, he's been extremely productive. Last year, Smith led his team in receptions (61), yards (966) and touchdowns (13) while starting 11 games. Through nine games this year, he's posted a 38-606-8 line while returning a punt for a touchdown.

Oklahoma State senior WR James Washington (ankle) was "moving very well" in warm-ups in advance of Saturday's game against Iowa State, according to NBC Oklahoma City's Dylan Buckingham.

Washington was moving around in a walking boot earlier this week after suffering an ankle injury in the second half of last Saturday's loss to Oklahoma. Apparently he's made a speedy recovery. The Round 1 receiver prospect ranks second in the FBS with 1,133 receiving yards this season. He's the only Power 5 receiver with more than 40 catches who's averaging 20-plus yards per reception.

ESPN's Todd McShay believes Iowa redshirt junior CB Josh Jackson will be a Day 1 or Day 2 pick when he enters the draft.

Jackson could declare early after this season, or wait for his eligibility to exhaust after the 2018 season. He's coming off an enormous game, picking off J.T. Barrett three times in Saturday's blowout victory over Ohio State. McShay was on hand in Iowa City to take in his work. "Jackson is long with natural cover skills and attacks the ball like a wide receiver," McShay wrote. "He's still developing consistency with his footwork and eyes, but he should be a Day 1 or Day 2 pick when he enters the draft in 2018 or 2019."

Nov 11 - 11:54 AM

NC State senior QB Ryan Finley completed 13 of 32 attempts for 146 yards and an interception in the school's 17-14 win over Boston College on Saturday.

Finley's interception was an off-target screen pass. He's been receiving plenty of positive draft vibes, with some believing he could be this year's Mitchell Trubisky. That might be a bit of a stretch, but expect to see Finley at the Senior Bowl with a chance to shine. This was his worst performance of the season.

LSU senior WR D.J. Chark caught four passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns in the school's 33-10 win over Arkansas on Saturday.

It has been a hit or miss season for Chark, as this is his fourth game of over 100 receiving yards, but he was a non-factor in many others. Both of Chark's touchdowns came on vertical routes, as he forced the defensive back to take a false step with an inside fake, then turned on the jets to separation for a 68-yard score.

Penn State senior TE Mike Gesicki caught four passes for 45 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 35-6 win over Rutgers.

Gesicki's 14-yard touchdown catch was a great play call, as he stayed in as a blocker on the action fake then released for the open catch and run. We are excited to see Gesicki's athletic results, as he looks superior in that area to almost anyone else on the field.

Nov 11 - 3:06 PM

Iowa State senior WR Allen Lazard caught nine passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 49-42 loss to Oklahoma State.

Lazard hauled in touchdowns in the first and fourth quarters of what turned into a prototypical Big 12 shootout. After going through a six-game slump following the opener in which he failed to surpass 100 yards receiving, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound senior has twice surpassed the century mark in his last three games. He's one of our favorite under-the-radar draft prospects at receiver in the class.

Nov 11 - 5:10 PM

Oklahoma State senior QB Mason Rudolph completed 25-of-31 passes for 376 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's 49-42 win over Iowa State.

Rudolph had just one touchdown pass to his name entering the fourth quarter, but he proceeded to hit up Marcel Ateman for a 30-yard touchdown midway through the final stanza to draw the Cowboys to within 42-40. They would make the two-point conversion, after which Rudolph came through with one final scoring drive to deliver Oklahoma State to a narrow victory to keep their slim Playoff hopes alive. The senior gunslinger is up to an even 30 touchdown passes on the season.

Nov 11 - 4:58 PM

Colorado State senior WR Michael Gallup caught 11 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown in a 59-52 loss to Boise State on Saturday in overtime.

Gallup (6'1/203) now has double-digit catches in four games this year, and has gone over the century mark in six of his efforts. His touchdown came from Nick Stephens from four yards out and gave the Rams a 21-3 lead in the first quarter. Gallup has some of the best analytical numbers in the country, and if you watch him play, it's very easy to understand why. Expect another high catch total against San Jose State.

Nov 12 - 3:12 AM

Colorado State redshirt senior RB Dalyn Dawkins ran for 161 yards on 29 carries and scored twice in a 59-52 overtime loss to Boise State on Saturday.

Dawkins also caught four passes for 67 yards. He has now rushed for over 100 yards in eight of his last nine games, and over 130 years in five of his last six. Unfortunately, this one ended on a down note, as Dawkins fumbled on 2nd-and-short in overtime to give the Broncos a lead. Even with that fumble, it's another spectacular game from one of the most underrated backs in the country. He should have another huge game next week against the atrocious San Jose State defense.

Nov 12 - 3:07 AM

Wyoming junior QB Josh Allen completed 8-of-11 passes for 70 yards with a touchdown before leaving their 28-14 victory over Air Force on Saturday with an undisclosed injury.

Allen also added a rushing touchdown. Allen was playing relatively well in this one before leaving to the locker room with the aforementioned injury, and returned to the sidelines, but not in uniform. Nick Smith took over as the Cowboys quarterback. We'll have more information on the severity of the injury when Wyoming updates his status after the game.

Nov 12 - 1:45 AM

Arizona senior RB Nick Wilson carried the ball 17 times for 101 yards and a touchdown in a 49-21 beating of Oregon State on Saturday.

Three players (Wilson, Khalil Tate, JJ Taylor) were able to run for over 100 yards, and five players scored rushing touchdowns. Who says you need a passing game to compete in the Pac-12? The 5-foot-10, 200-pound Wilson has battled an ankle injury, but looked healthy in this one. Arizona's running game is borderline unstoppable right now, and Wilson and the rest should have no trouble running against the Ducks next week.

Nov 12 - 1:35 AM

Arizona State senior RB Demario Richard ran for 125 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries in a 44-37 loss to UCLA on Saturday.

Richard and fellow tailback Kalen Bellage were able to put up big numbers (97 yards for Bellage with a score), but the Arizona State defense reverted back to their 2016 days in this one. Richard's touchdown was a two-yard burst that gave the Sun Devils a 14-0 lead late in the first quarter. The 5-foot-10, 220-pound tailback will look to get back on the winning side next week against Oregon State.

Nov 12 - 1:27 AM

UCLA junior QB Josh Rosen completed 25-of-45 passes for 381 yards with a touchdown and interception in a 44-37 victory over Arizona State on Saturday.

Rosen missed last week's game and most of the previous one with a concussion, and while he didn't have his most accurate passing game against the Sun Devils, he was able to make big plays to keep the Bruins alive for a bowl game. He had great chemistry with wideout Jordan Lasley, and hooked up with him for a 22-yard touchdown to give the Bruins a 41-34 lead in the fourth quarter. He also had a one-yard keeper for a score in the second quarter. Rosen has a chance to send UCLA to a bowl next week against rival USC.

Nov 12 - 1:19 AM

Oklahoma senior QB Baker Mayfield completed 18-of-27 passes for 333 yards and three scores in a 38-20 victory over TCU on Saturday.

Mayfield (6'1/209) also added 50 yards rushing on 11 carries. All of Oklahoma's scoring was done in the first half, which can be a bad thing. Not when you put up 38 points in that half, however. He found star running back Rodney Anderson for two of his scores, and he opened the scoring with a 13-yard strike to Grant Calcaterra. This wasn't his best effort, but it doesn't do anything to remove him from the Heisman discussion. On the contrary, in fact. He'll put up insane numbers barring something unexpected next week against Kansas.

Nov 11 - 11:57 PM

Tulane senior RB Dontrell Hilliard rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries in Saturday's 31-24 overtime win over ECU.

Requiring overtime to dispatch ECU doesn't show the best, but Hilliard was brilliant in this one nonetheless. The 6-foot, 205-pound senior ripped off a 60-yard touchdown gallop with 9:01 remaining in the first half and notched a shorter 26-yard scoring scamper in the closing seconds of the third quarter. With his big performance on Saturday, Hilliard has now rushed for 997 yards and 11 touchdowns in 10 games played. He's in the midst of a career-best campaign, having already surpassed his yardage and touchdown tallies from a year ago.

Nov 11 - 11:29 PM

UMass redshirt senior TE Adam Breneman has received an invite to the 2018 Senior Bowl.

No surprise here. Breneman (6'5/255) has long been a favorite in scouting circles, and when he's been healthy -- he battled ankle injuries in the middle of the year -- he's put up numbers that suggest he belongs to be one of the first tight ends selected in the 2018 draft.

Nov 13 - 6:36 PM

Texas A&M junior WR Christian Kirk had a 158.3 passer rating when targeted on Saturday against New Mexico.

Kirk only had four targets, but he caught all four for 120 yards with a score. Most impressively, he did this on just 23 snaps against the Lobos. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound wideout hasn't approach the numbers he put up in his freshman and sophomore seasons, but that has much more to do with the struggles of the Agglies quarterbacks than him. Kirk could have another big game next week when Texas A&M takes on Ole Miss on Saturday.

SMU redshirt junior WR Courtland Sutton has received a Senior Bowl invitation.

Our own Josh Norris recently wrote about Sutton's game and came away very impressed. at 6-foot-3 and 215-pounds, Sutton still wins after the catch with fluidity and movement. He also can win naturally at the catch point thanks to his big frame. Receiver and corner matchups are one of our favorite parts of all-star games, and Sutton could be the top receiver in attendance.
