[Dynasty] 2020 NFL Draft Class (3 Viewers)

Damn..  Oh well, he will be devy draft eligible then :)

I wonder if Chuba will wait until 2021 and be the best back in the class.  Anyone in the 2020 class could do that though, so why would Chuba?
That’s the rub, if Wallace is returning with his quote there saying how they’ve built something special, I have to think Hubbard is going to stay too.

Michigan junior WR Donovan Peoples-Jones caught one pass for 34 yards in Wednesday's 35-14 loss to Alabama in the VRBO Citrus Bowl.

Peoples-Jones (6'2, 208) ending his junior year -- perhaps ending his collegiate career -- in underwhelming fashion on Wednesday. "Underwhelming" would probably be our preferred word to describe DPJ's time in Ann Arbor thus far. In three years, he has failed to post a season over 615 receiving yards. DPJ does have 14 career touchdown catches to his fair name (all over the last two seasons) but so much of his body of work simply fails to land. A big spring combine is a must for Peoples-Jones if he does declare, because he has largely failed to hit the mark in terms of his tangible production.

Zeus would probably be #1.

Oregon QB Justin Herbert completed 14-of-20 passes for 138 yards and an interception while rushing nine times for 29 yards and three touchdowns in Wednesday's 28-27 win over Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl Game Presented By Northwestern Mutual.

Herbert the passer? Well, it wasn’t his best day or anywhere close to it. Herbert the runner, though? He had a historic performance. Not only did Herbert (6'6/237) notch the only multi-rushing TD game of his Oregon career, but he became the first QB since Vince Young in 2006 to rush for multiple TDs in the Rose Bowl. Herbert finishes the season with 33 passing touchdowns to just six interceptions, cementing him as one of the most efficient passers in the country. While Herbert wasn’t always consistent in proving his NFL skill set, teams are going to have a tough time passing on his size, arm strength, and athletic ability with so few other strong QB options in this draft.

Oregon WR Juwan Johnson caught five passes for 66 yards in Wednesday's 28-27 win over Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl Game Presented By Northwestern Mutual.

Injuries derailed Johnson's season, but he finished strong in the Rose Bowl. Johnson's 66 yards were the most of any player on either team and his five catches trailed only Wisconsin WR Quintez Cephus' seven catches. Considering Johnson (6'4/231) only got to play in seven games this year, earning 30 receptions for 467 yards and four touchdowns is a plenty impressive final stat line. Assuming his pre-draft process goes smoothly, Johnson could be a Day 3 pick.

Baylor WR Denzel Mims finished with five catches for 75 yards and a touchdown in Wednesday's 26-14 loss to Georgia in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

True to form, Mims (6'3/215) make a ridiculous catch in traffic on the sideline to secure Baylor's only passing touchdown. With a cornerback draped all over him, Mims was able to turn, shield the cornerback away, and pluck the ball out of the air for a score. Mims makes those kinds of grabs all the time, whether they be in the end zone or down the field on a deep pass. As of now, Mims is a fringe Day 2 prospect, but could make the official leap up with a strong NFL Combine and Senior Bowl showing.

Georgia junior QB Jake Fromm completed 20-of-30 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns in Wednesday's 26-14 win over Baylor in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Fromm (6'2/220) gets to go finish the year on a high note after a disappointing junior campaign. His 8.3 yards per pass in this one was much better than his season average of 7.4 yards per pass. That being said, this game still captured some of what plagued Fromm all year: he only really had WR George Pickens to throw to. Most of Georgia’s receiving corps this year was either inexperienced or injured. Fromm, a high-floor and low-ceiling type of prospect, now has a decision to make about whether he wants to return for his senior season or jump to the NFL for professional coaching.

Probably a 3rd or 4th rd rookie pick in dynasty leagues.  Not much of a body of work.

Notre Dame junior TE Cole Kmet declared for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Kmet (6'5/250) turned in a career-best campaign in 2019, catching 43 passes for 515 yards and six touchdowns across 10 games played. Now setting his sights on the pros. The Notre Dame standout has upside as a pass-catcher -- he plays with a palatable fluidity on the hoof -- but remains somewhat raw as a blocker. Kmet was reportedly given a Round 2 grade by the NFL draft advisory board. With a strong process we could potentially see him pushing for a Day 1 pick in the spring.

Washington junior RB Salvon Ahmed declared for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Ahmed (5'11/196) brings to the table speed to burn and should run well at the NFL Scouting Combine in the spring. Taking over for Myles Gaskin as starter in 2019, Ahmed rushed for 1,020 yards (5.4 YPC) and 11 touchdowns in 12 games. With a clean draft process, the Washington back could potentially land as a Day 3 selection come April.

Tulane senior WR Darnell Mooney had three catches for 43 yards in Saturday's 30-13 victory over Southern Miss in the Armed Forces Bowl.

Next up is a trip to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. Mooney (5'11/175) fits the profile of a player who could be better in the NFL than he was in college. He spent the early part of his career in a zone-option offense before HC Willie Fritz opted to open things up a little more this past year. The passing offense added about 25 YPG but QB Justin McMillan didn't have the accuracy to take advantage of the space Mooney can win on crossers nor the gun or vision to always take advantage of the yardage Mooney should have piled up downfield. Mooney never caught 50 balls, reached 1,000 yards receiving, nor topped eight TD catches in a season on campus, but we consider him a deep-deep NFL Draft sleeper because of his wheels and ability to make plays downfield. "Mooney looks more like a kicker with his lack of muscle definition, but he has good speed and terrific downfield focus," The Athletic's Dane Brugler recently wrote.

Southern Miss junior WR Quez Watkins has declared for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Watkins (6'2/190) is a bit of a surprising early declaration. Generally believed to be a Day 3 prospect, Watkins has opted to jump to the NFL now rather than potentially raise his status as a senior. Watkins transformed his game as a junior, seeing his yards per catch skyrocket from 12.3 in 2018 to 18.6 in 2019. Having proved that he can play both styles, Watkins may be able to fit into a number of different roles and offenses.

Memphis senior WR/RB Antonio Gibson has accepted an invitation to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl.

Gibson (6'2/221) scores a big invite to the most high-profile NFL showcase. He had already been invited to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl but Reese's Senior Bowl invitation could mean his profile is intriguing NFL talent evaluators who will now get a look at what Gibson can do against top flight competition. Gibson was a multi-purpose weapon for the Tigers, catching 38 passes for 735 yards, 19.3 YPC and eight touchdowns while logging 33 carries for 369 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. As if that weren't enough, he also returned 22 kicks for 633 yards and a touchdown for the AAC champions. Gibson had previously been considered a UDFA candidate, but he could certainly move into the Day 3 mix with a good showing during the draft evaluation process.

Kentucky junior WR/QB Lynn Bowden declared for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Bowden (6'1/199) had verbally indicated that he would declare for the draft in mid-December, but has now made the decision official. He showed off tremendous versatility by taking over as the Wildcats starting quarterback in week seven when injuries decimated their quarterback unit. Bowden deftly spearheaded a potent option-style rushing attack, carrying 185 times for 1,468 yards and thirteen touchdowns along with 403 yards passing and a three-to-three ratio in only seven games at quarterback. He also led the team in receiving with 30 receptions for 348 yards and a touchdown. Pro Football Network's Andrew DiCecco considers Bowden to be a third round prospect and Mel Kiper ranks Bowden as the 10th best wide receiver in the 2020 draft class.

Michigan junior WR Donovan Peoples-Jones declared for the 2020 NFL Draft.

What a strange career. Peoples-Jones arrived in Ann Arbor as a ballyhooed five-star recruit, the No. 1 WR recruit in the nation. But in three years on campus, DPJ combined to post a cumulative receiving line of just 103-1,327-14. For context, Texas WR Devin Duvernay posted a 106-1,386-9 receiving line in 2019 alone. But it's fair to say that Peoples-Jones (6'2/208) still has a tantalizing combo of size and athleticism, and that he was done no favors by either Michigan's offensive fuddling around the past three years nor a lower-body injury earlier this fall that cost him a few games. His draft stock is hard to peg at the moment with so many unknown variables -- athletic testing will be big for him, as will his entire pre-draft process in general due to the underwhelming career -- but we'd say late Day 2/early Day 3 at the moment.

Michigan senior QB Shea Patterson has decided to not play in the East-West Shrine Bowl, according to MLive.com's Aaron McMann.

While Patterson (6'2/202) will not play in the Shrine Bowl, which is scheduled for January 18, he remains committed to the Reese's Senior Bowl the following weekend. Patterson has been projected to be anywhere from a Day 3 prospect to an undrafted free agent, and he's going to need a good week at the Senior Bowl to improve his chances of hearing his name called in April.

Wisconsin redshirt junior WR Quintez Cephus has declared for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Cephus (6'1/207) made his return to the football field this fall after being found not guilty on charges of rape. He would be readmitted to Wisconsin in August, with his reinstatement to the football team coming shortly thereafter. The redshirt junior finished the 2019 season with 59 receptions for 901 yards and seven touchdowns, which included a 7-59-1 effort in the Badgers' Rose Bowl Game loss to Oregon. He's been projected as a Day 3 draft pick, with the wide receiver position being especially deep in this class. And even with the acquittal, he's going to face off-the-field questions during the pre-draft process.
