[Dynasty] 2025 NFL Draft Prospects (5 Viewers)

Jacob Infante
Drop rates for top WRs in the 2025 NFL Draft:

• Jack Bech: 1.6% 👀
• Xavier Restrepo: 2.8%
• Tez Johnson: 2.9%
• Isaiah Bond: 3.0%
• Emeka Egbuka: 4.4%
• Luther Burden: 4.6%
• Matthew Golden: 4.7%
• Tetairoa McMillan: 7.7%
• Tre Harris: 7.7%
• Elic Ayomanor: 8.7%

If the #Bears are looking for speed at WR in the draft, Isaiah Bond from Texas is a guy I like on Day 2

Dynamic athlete who’s crisp out of his breaks and agile after the catch. Good hands, can stretch the field. Slot-wide versatility, too

Speaking of sleeper RB's. Got a quiz for people.

This RB is not a sleeper in the sense you likely know his name.

Two well known draft analyst who both attended the Senior Bowl have put out their top 100 lists since they returned home from the Senior Bowl. This RB was on both lists, in both cases over 3 other RB's who also made their list including both times over a consensus opinion top 5 RB.

But only place I've seen anyone mention him around here is when he's part of a list people are making about all the RB's available. No real discussion on him. Does not have his own thread. I've been drafting already and in the contest I play there are over 20 rookie RB's getting drafted ahead of him and most drafts no one is taking him.

Who is this RB that these people are so relatively high on but the fantasy community so far has been cold towards?

My first thought was Trevor Etienne, but then I saw he already had a thread. Then three others came to mind.

Because RBs that are sleepers even if they are good drafted past Rd 3 rarely hit..more often than not, you'll encounter the Pacheco/James Robinson/Alfred Morris/Lindsay types - the 1-2 year hits and that is it. Rarely will you get the Arian Foster, Aaron Jones...if the RB was not a career massive stat accumulator in college, I don't want him in dynasty.

I'm guessing Cam Skataboo? Apologies, I can't spell his last name right. I'm not even sure I'm pronouncing it correctly (scat-ah-boo).

RBs are going to be interesting.

I think there is definitely 1, maybe 2 in the first round.
Rounds 2 and 3, I think we're gonna have at least 5, and as many as 8. One or two will land in spots with competition, but most will be defacto starters or at least favored to be starters.

Ultimately, I think 7 to 8 of them are going to be in the top 32 drafted fantasy redraft RBs, which is a crazy changing of the guard. I guess it isn't that crazy given a historically strong class combined with coming immediately behind a class that only produced 2 starters in 2024 and both of them were day 3 picks.

ETA: Zero/Hero RB drafts might be back on the menu in 2025

Matt Anderson
Watching Texas Tech RB Tahj Brooks and I really like what I see.

Underrated vision and patience, super nimble on his feet. Fights hard for yards, handles pass protection well, and is a shifty runner.

His style reminds me of Jerick McKinnon.

Good guesses, figured more people would take a shot since the news cycle slowed down.

3 of those 4 RB's you both mentioned appeared on one of those top 100 list. Just one. Martinez was the one who did not appear on any list but two people who did these lists have had good things to say about him with one of them saying before the senior bowl they were told by a team to expect him to be a draft riser. But he still left him out of his top 100.

The two people who did these lists I'm referencing are Dane Brugler and Todd McShay. I got opinions on these two and seems like a million people put out mocks or lists but I don't pay attention to anyone without NFL contacts.

McShay had Skattebo as RB8 and overall player 88. He's as high as anyone I've seen on Allen, has him as RB5, overall 70.

Brugler has RJ Harvey as RB8, overall 95.

But the answer to the question is Jordan James. That's the guy these two seem way higher on then the fantasy community.

McShay has him as RB6, overall 82. Brugler is very stout, putting him at RB5 and overall player 62.

I've already got a few drafts under my belt this year and people were not drafting Jordan James in 20 round drafts. His ADP two days ago was running as rookie RB21 or 22. This is what I mean by a massive difference in fantasy community feelings vs these two.

On the other end of the spectrum Judkins came in after James on both lists. Was all the way down to RB9 for McShay. He's getting drafted as rookie RB5 on average, I'm in a draft right now he went as rookie RB3. Neal did not make any of their top 100 lists. I'd say that's two RB's the fantasy community is higher on then at least these two.

7 RB's in total made both lists: Jeanty, Hampton, Henderson, Kaleb, Jordan, Judkins and Sampson. These are just two people's opinions of course but I'm trying to convey these are not two randos and both of them get feedback from NFL contacts that influence their rankings.

I saw Bucky Brooks put out a top 5 RB list and what I'm starting to see is a consensus top 4 that everyone I pay any attention has as their top 4 right now with the order of 2-4 extremely varied among Henderson, Hampton, and Kaleb. Things then go all kinds of different directions.

I think there will be some teams that saw what the eagles just did and draft running backs quite a bit higher than we’ve seen recently. That, coupled with a strong RB class, will vault a few guys other than Jeanty into round 1 and a few more into round 2. I think we should pay attention to which of these teams is also fortifying their OLines and we should target those backs, since what the Eagles accomplished involved more than just adding Saquon.

It was a resurgent year for RB's which made me, and many other OG fantasy nuts, happy BUT there is only one Saquon Barkley. Maybe teams inch Jeanty up a bit if they think they're a player away but I don't expect the draft process to be reset based on what happened this past year at the RB position. Barkley and Bijan seem to sit somewhat in a class of their own based on being athletic freaks at the position. As good of a year as Gibbs had, he certainly showed holes when Monty was out and they got in goal line situations. RB's were also surprisingly durable this past season which may be an outlier versus the start of a trend.

All this to say that I would be shocked if Hampton, Henderson, Johnson or Judkins jumps into Round 1 of the NFL draft. I feel like they remain solid Day 2 selections.

You may be right. After all, the depth available at the position might encourage teams to wait. But as I look at the bottom of round 1 and see the Broncos, Chargers, Vikings and Commanders who have a need at the position, young QBs, and ample reason to be trying to copy the Eagles, I could see as many as 3 backs taken in Round 1. This assumes a couple backs distinguish themselves at the combine.

Except he's not flying under the radar in what you care about, which is the opinion of him by fantasy players.

If the lists I see by people with NFL contacts are on the nose we got a Big 4 and then everyone I saw had a different RB as their 5th best. Judkins being the RB they don't seem as high on, whether that's from their opinions or NFL feedback I don't know.

Fantasy community has it as a big 5 and there is a bit of a dropoff after that but in the two redraft contests I've been drafting in Neal is going as rookie RB7. Perhaps you think he should be RB6 or higher, or not have a dropoff after the Fantasy community Big 5. But hard for me see him going as rookie RB7 and conclude he's flying under the radar.

Have him and 3 others after the "Ashton Jeanty" tier. And as of now landing spot will be the tie breaker between the four of them. Also, unless all four get bad landing spots, I have them ahead of any other QB/TE/WR in the class. So yeah for me he's anywhere from 1.02-1.05. Majority of mocks I've seen have him mid to late second at the earliest. To me, he's supremely undervalued by the majority. So your news that he's also seen as so by two big name analysts who's analysis often winds up influencing dynasty opinions; good news in my book.

Edit: and this is for SF for me. So yeah rookie RB7 is drastically lower considering most will have at least 2QBs and 3WR and 1TE all ranked ahead of him as well.

As we pivot to the NFL draft, Robert Morris WR Carl Smith is a player who may be under the radar as an FCS guy, but not for long. Love the tape that I saw.

Smith tells me he met with the Jets, Patriots, Bears, Steelers, Colts and Dolphins— was a standout at the Tropical Bowl.

I’m a little surprised that Arizona RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt got snubbed and I’m disappointed because I wanted to see him there.

I still don't think we are giving this 2025 RB class the proper credit it deserves. Looking legit 20 deep, you can make a case for any of them depending on their landing spot.

Kaleb Johnson
Omarion Hampton
Treveyon Henderson
Cam Skattebo

Have had some ask about my high ranking of Jalon Walker (5), Jahdae Barron (10) and Colston Loveland (11)

I'm simply valuing ready-made NFL players more than I have in the past and discounting high athleticism that didn't result in production in college.

I'm sure there'll be a few that pop and I'll learn from it, but my rankings this year weigh production/early impact much more than ever before.

Jackson State RB Irv Mulligan - one of the featured prospects at the HBCU Combine - did not disappoint. Mulligan ran a 4.58 40 and stood out catching the ball. The SWAC offensive player of the year said he has met with 15 NFL teams and more are planned. Hear from him tonight on The Insiders @nflnetwork, 7 ET.
