#SouthCarolina WR Nyck Harbor (6-5, 235, JR)
Big, raw athlete that’s still finding his way at the position. Finished strong down the back stretch of last season.
Harbor didn’t run track in the spring and has been fully invested in football this year. Fascinating player.
He was successfully catching and returning punts during pre-game warm up.

Watch how much juice the ball comes out with to all three levels of the field from #Oklahoma QB John Mateer.
Can’t wait to watch him vs. Michigan tomorrow.
Jordan Reid
NC State has two solid pieces in TE Justin Joly and RB Hollywood Smothers. Both standing out tonight.

Very interested to see Arkansas QB Taylen Green (6055v, 224v) vs. Ole Miss Saturday night. Intriguing dual-threat prospect who some NFL scouts believe is an eventual pro starter.
Through 2 games, he leads the FBS in passing TDs (10) and already has eight carries of 10+ yards.

Yes, it was vs. Indiana State, but #Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza (6-5, 225, rJR) made some really nice throws last night.
Finished 19/20 for 270 yards and 6 TDs (five passing and one rushing) in only one half.
Plenty of intrigue with Mendoza, but only lower-tier opponents so far.
Indiana plays Illinois, Iowa and Oregon during their next three games, so we’ll get a true gauge of him during that stretch.

Indiana WR Omar Cooper Jr in Week 3:

4 TDS

TE Kenyon Sadiq vs. a safety is a glaring mismatch. Good things happen when he is targeted.
(Also, another strong start for QB Dante Moore. His talent screams NFL starter.)

After that 56-yd TD catch, #Tennessee WR Chris Brazzell II (6-5, 200, rJR) is now up to five catches for 162 yards and three TDs. He’s really flashed today.
Ian Cummings
CHRIS. BRAZZELL.
Perfect timing on the high-point snatch, mossing his man with size and body control. *Three* touchdowns for him on the day!

Germie Bernard has been the best thing about Alabama football so far this year. Scouts had him with a fringe Rd1-2 grade over the summer. To me, he's in the WR1 convo with Jordyn Tyson right now.

Mateer is a playmaker. Brings so much juice to the offense with his patience in the pocket and what he can do with his feet when needed.

John Mateer is such a fun college QB
Will be interested to see how his draft stock evolves from now until April
He is what I would call a college gamer. Heck of a college QB but has a bit to prove accuracy downfield before he is a thing in the NFL. Had at least three downfield passes against MI that he pistol whipped into coverage when his receiver was really wide open if he had applied touch to the throw. Other than those obvious errors, he was extremely impressive with intermediate throws and rushing. Looks like a guy with a lot of potential.Matt Miller

Zachariah Branch is electric. Those are the types of short passes that he can turn into explosive plays.
@ESPNBooger
CFB. The quarterback play as a whole has been very average across the sport so far this fall. Why is that @GregMcElroy @danorlovsky7 @dpbrugler

I don't think it's one specific thing, but I am really encouraged by the promising starts by a few guys we had questions about (Dante Moore, Mateer, Beck, Green) while we wait and see if others (Nuss, Allar, Klubnik, Leavitt) pick up steam as we go.
Dan Orlovsky
People don’t know how to develop QBs anymore
1) Tempo became king. Just run a lot of plays not good ones
2) RPO’s became king
3) Look to sideline for coaches to call good plays. So QB doesn’t learn how to be problem solver
4) Promote athlete over accuracy
Qbs aren’t raised in the “be a problem solver” mode anymore

This week's NFL Draft Film Room:
Tennessee WR Chris Brazzell II is a legit deep threat, but he's no one-trick-pony
CBs Will Lee (Texas A&M) and Avieon Terrell (Clemson) stand out
Texas Tech QB Behren Morton putting NFL-level stuff on tape

If you wiped away previous tape, expectations, hype and recruiting rankings, the top quarterback prospect RIGHT NOW for 2026 would be Dante Moore or John Mateer. With Fernando Mendoza and Taylen Green ranked over a lot of the names we expected to be high on the list.
I was impressed with Mateer against Michigan. Moore is very intriguing, but I can't say much definitively about him yet. Oregon is loaded with talent and has only played bottom feeders. If he looks good against Penn State, I'll be on board.Matt Miller

#Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza (6-5, 225, rJR) faces his first major test of the season against a top 10 ranked team in Illinois. He made some impressive tight window throws last week.

Polished and sure handed receiver. Savvy route runner that’s a reliable threat.
