Sellers didn't have a very good first half, but he improved significantly as the game progressed.
At QB, I thought Rocco Becht was a clear winner. I was concerned whether he could replicate what he did the last couple of seasons with Higgins and Noel. He still looks really good. He is very underrated. I am excited to see what he does against in-state rival Iowa.
Nussmeier showed me what I was hoping to see from him. He played smart and under control.
Speaking of playing under control, Carson Beck deserves some props. Some had already written his obituary. He looked like a potential top 5 draft pick. This was 2023 Beck, not 2024 Beck.
It is one week, so I am not adjusting my rankings, but I was also impressed with Marcel Reed (Texas A&M), Tommy Castellanos (Fla St.), Dante Moore (Oregon), Joey Aguilar (Tenn), Haynes King (Ga. Tech) and Devon Dampier (Utah).
At RB, both Jonah Coleman (Was) and Justice Haynes (Mich) looked fantastic. I also liked what I saw from Dante Dowdell (Kentucky) and Darius Taylor (Min).
At WR, Jordyn Tyson (Az. St.) looked excellent. Carnell Tate (OSU) picked up where he left off. I may have him ranked too low at WR5. Germie Bernard (Ala) also had a big day.
Not much to see at TE, but I thought Tanner Koziol (Hou) looked solid.
Like I say, it is just one week. I am not going to panic yet on players who didn't shine (*cough* *cough* Arch Manning), nor am I going to commission a hall of fame bust for those who did shine.

He is what I would call a college gamer. Heck of a college QB but has a bit to prove accuracy downfield before he is a thing in the NFL. Had at least three downfield passes against MI that he pistol whipped into coverage when his receiver was really wide open if he had applied touch to the throw. Other than those obvious errors, he was extremely impressive with intermediate throws and rushing. Looks like a guy with a lot of potential.

I was impressed with Mateer against Michigan. Moore is very intriguing, but I can't say much definitively about him yet. Oregon is loaded with talent and has only played bottom feeders. If he looks good against Penn State, I'll be on board.
