I decided to get cute here and go with Bullocks sheerly for the upside potential. I'm thinking a talented safety in New Orleans is going to get plenty of chances. I like Ferguson too. He finished 36th among DB's in my league last year. After a year of learning he should steadily improve. Sharper and Knight are proven veterans but both are a bit long in the tooth for me.

Agreed they are certainly aging. I just put more stock in being sure of what I'm getting for a few years than in a player that has upside yet to be realized. Especially at safety, where losing a step can be covered more easily by skill and experience and they can eek out 1-2 extra productive years.I guess for me it comes down to being sure of good solid production through, say 2009-2010 tops, meanwhile I can either pick up a FA that comes on or grab a rookie in the next couple years to replace them when they retire. Do I take them before a Boulware or Archuleta? Hells no! But when we get into the marginal players, I'd rather have the vet and go after a youngster next year
