Dynasty: Dez Bryant (1 Viewer)

In my dynasty league I am relatively strong at WR but weak at RB.

Dez Bryant is going to be there at #2. Do I grab him and ignore my needs for this year or bypass him and grab Jahvid Best?

See if you can't flip picks with #3 or #4. Then grab an extra 2nd rounder. They may really want Bryant.

Or take Bryant then trade WR depth in the season.

I took Bryant and many people went "WHAT?!"

If you took Moss even though strong at wideout...I think it paid off welll

I took Bryant in 2 PPR dynasty leagues, including a league where i "needed" a RB more. But i believe he is a rare/special talent, and as previously said, I'll trade later for a RB.

In one 12-team PPR Dynasty draft two months ago, I drafted Calvin Johnson, Greg Jennings, Michael Crabtree, and Hakeem Nicks, and still didn't hesitate to select Dez Bryant (and then selected Mike Wallace, Kenny Britt, and Mike Williams). Granted, I ended up with Jahvid Best, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Donald Brown at RB, but I can always trade one of my WR's for a good RB when it becomes necessary. The point is, Bryant's vast talent is way too hard to pass on and if he's still on the board after your first few picks, I say pounce. His upside is :) .

assuming Spiller going #1 -- if you need a RB why not take Best
Mathews going #1, I am #2.
you would really take Bryant over Spiller then? personally I am not enamored with Mathews as some are I like Best better actually. If you are RB weak take Spiller in any format.
from what I've seen of Matthews tonight he's showed great burst and tough running.. taking on saints LB & DB on multiple plays. Also caught few passes with nice run after catch ability. Only thing I didnt care for was the Chargers red zone play calling concerning Matthews.. went to Hester at the 5 after Matthews got the 1st down then went shotgun few times.I havent seen alot of Spiller but it looks like Matthews is a potential every down work horse back.. still needs to work on blocking/hands but looked good tonight.

Yep. That's what I saw too. I'm trying to trade for Mathews but I don't think I've got enough. He's gonna want Fitz and I don't know if I can do that, although it's dynasty and AZ is a mess.

If Dez is the player you think has the brightest future take him.

If you like Best or Spiller just as much try to trade down to get extra value or just grab them.

Wasting value because of need is a shortsighted mistake.
