So I have decided to rebuild in my dynasty. However, I am very concerned about trading for 2011 picks because of the labor issue.

Some have suggested top tier players will not enter the draft because of the dispute. I do not remember the last NFL labor issue and if this was a concern or something that happened.

Any insight into what top tier college players might do will help

I know what you are looking for, I just don't think you are going to find it. I don't think anyone here is going to be able to offer insight, until we get in to the offseason. It is all wild speculation right now.

But to answer your question, I would trade for the picks as though the draft pool is average. That is what I always do, seeing as how it can change in a blink, even without the lockout, CB issues.

While more then 50% on the board seem to feel there will be a lockout the odds are still heavily favored to have no lockout on sportsbooks.

Thongs change very quickly, once summer hits both sides will do whatever they can to avoid a lockout, i would go forward assuming everything will work itself out by the start of the 2011 season.

The senior class isn't anything special, IMO, but thats true of most classes. The junior class could be a very deep pool with a handful of elite players. In one league I traded for 5 2011 1st rounders (plus my own pick) because I expect this class to be very good. The thing is you can acquire future picks at very reasonable prices if you time it right. I have also heard in regards to a possible lockout that the decision wouldn't come until after the draft is already over, although I can't say with any certainty if that is accurate or not. I am basically operating under the assumption that all parties involved are not stupid enough to let it get to a lockout, although it is a realistic possibility. The lockout uncertainty may actually make the picks that much cheaper to acquire.

Another way to think about it:

What do the Jrs have to lose? If they go into the draft, and there is a hold out, they lose out on a year (max, extreme) of income they won't make going back to school. Except, if they go back to school, they risk injury, poor play, and don't get the benefits of signing with an agent (loans, gifts, insurance, etc.), or a signing bonus.

What really do they have to lose?
