DYNASTY LEAGUERS

especially those in 2 QB each week leagues .. since we all know how valuable QB prospects are ....

whats everyones opinion ...

I always likes Croyle in college .. he seemed to have good leadership qualities ... always seemed " in control" on the field and on the sidelines .... tough kid .. but always had injuries ... i hoped he would add about 25 lbs of muscle sooner or later ...

from what I read the Chiefs wanted in the worst way for him to take the starting job ... and he seemed to thrive in OTA's and camp .. but seemed lost come pre-season game days .....

I personally dont think D.Huard is the answer .... and I do think Croyle has talent .. is he a future starter .. I am torn ... I am torn because he is in a decent situation - in regards to " getting a chance to play " ... but in a terrible situation because he is on a bad offensive team / terrible coach and a coach who will start to feel the pressure to win ... which doesnt help a 2'nd year QB who has no experience under his belt ...........

your opinions ..

is he their Qb of the future ..... will the sign someone next off-season .. will they draft someone ... or will they allow Croyle to grow and give him a chance .. new coaching staff possibly ? which would hurt Croyle ... ?

I think they add another QB next year and Croyle goes the way of Andrew Walter, etc ...

Croyle hasn't shown anything at all that tells me he can be a viable NFL starting QB. They practically handed the guy the job and he couldn't take it.

I doubt it but no one will know for sure until they decide to play offense. That won't happen until the Herminator is removed.

lol. I really think if he had LJ in the preseason he could have given a better showing.

Too early to tell still, but the window of opportunity isn't as open as it once was. Croyle had every opportunity to take the starting job to begin this year and looked awful -- for the second preseason in a row. He'll still get his chance later this season at some point because the Chiefs want him to earn the starting job, but unless he becomes a viable choice at QB pretty fast they will be forced to give up on him and to look elsewhere.

Ok. I speak for everyone else. Croyle is a superstar, look for 35+ TD's as soon as he gets in the starting lineup. Hermy will throw often to run up the score. THe WR's are Pro-Bowl caliber and the OL is really jelling together. It's like a brick Wall. LJ...he will keep the defense honest in this lineup of Hall-of Famers. Croyle is a can't miss superstar.There, happy?

Lifelong Bama fan, watched Croyle from the days he signed as a recruit: this kid has about a 1 in 1,000 shot of ever becoming a full-time NFL starter (meaning strning together 7+ years of starting in this league). If he manages to make that happpen, which I seriously, seriously doubt, he will be barely startable. He has no mobility, an average arm for the NFL, average accuracy, is currently on a run-first team with a coach that thinks scoring 21 points is an amazing achievement for an NFL team, he's as brittle as they come (broke his leg playing the Western Carolina Catamounts). I would much rather have the following QB prospects on a dynasty team: any QB from this past year's draft taken in the first two rounds, Garrard, Grossman, Boller, etc. IMO he will never be more than a backup and a shaky one at that.

I'd want to keep him around as a #3 just so his wife makes it to all team functions.
