So Demaryius Thomas suffered the same injury as Leshoure (torn Achilles). Thomas came back yesterday, less than a year after his injury, and looks like he can play. Does this give people hope that Leshoure may come back as well? Thomas was injured in November '10, Leshoure was injured in August this year, so he'll have several extra months to recover. There is a clear opening IMO for a pound it out runner in Detroit to compliment Best (and Best is someone the coaches may want to limit somewhat anyway to try and keep him healthy).
I'm thinking Leshoure may be a decent buy right now in dynasty - he's young and has plenty of time to recover, Thomas' return seems to indicate players can return from this type of injury, though obviously the jury is still out. And opportunities abound in a young, talented offense. If Leshoure makes it back he could be a great contributor to the team, possibly even more productive than Best.
Any thoughts on this?
