Dynasty Purgatory - Undroppable but Unstartable (1 Viewer)

I’ve noticed that I have 2-3 roster spots in my dynasty league that are just kinda... useless. But, I can’t bring myself to straight drop the guy either. 

Lockett - so much talent but they spread the ball so much I never really feel confident in starting him. 

J Matthews - mediocre talent on a team that doesn’t pass too much.

Flacco - 2QB league. Starting QBs are important but holy crap is he bad. 

Who’s in purgatory on your dynasty rosters?

 
Colin Kaepernick was in purgatory on my dynasty team. i finally cut him earlier this season and someone else snapped him up. guess i should have tried shopping him...

 
I'm holding Jeremy Hill since he's a FA and figure a shot he lands somewhere.  Not thinking it's going to pan out.

 
In various leagues

Dynasty: Ebron, funches, m Bryant, Kelly

Dynasty: Crowder, Decker, Chad Williams, fleener

Large Dynasty: Decker, wallace, k wright, Jeremy Hill, fleener

Redraft: finally dropped luck. C Davis, Henry

 
Watkins for me. Obviously can't drop him. I think his upside makes him worth more than anyone would offer me for him. So it's hold and cross my fingers. 

 
I cant drop Pryor but there's no way I can start him.  I think Cousins is a part of the problem.  That could change next season.  Guy has put up real solid numbers in a bad situation (last season). 

Martavis - same story.  Devante Adams probably the same story as well.

Come on man, he played one full game with like no camp and dropped 6/69. No player ever existed who did squat when they were injured/inactive.

More to the point is why did you hold this long and now cut?  You used the term "finally" which implies you held a long time and finally gave up and thus I asked you "why". Why hold this long and now give up? Had you cut weeks ago I'd not have asked, its the "finally" part that got me to inquire why now.

No man, I said I finally cut Andrew luck. Because he's out for the year officially now. I'm hanging on to Davis but he's been unstartable but undroppable.

I see that now, I misread it, that makes a lot more sense.

And I also cut Luck on about 7-8 teams this week and with him Moncrief who I was hanging onto hoping Luck would breathe some life into him.

The only league I have moncrief is dynasty, he's squarely belongs in this thread.

Just because someone adds a player that you drop, doesn't mean they would give you anything for him. Feel free to go after the guy they cut for him though.  

 
Finally cut Beasley and Wright. No one picked them up.

The Crowell Duke combo is taking up entirely too much of my roster to never start. 

Giving up on Semien, but holding Tyrod.

Ebron...... uhg.

Lockett?  Coming off a bad leg injury and a useful #4 WR.  Byes, injuries, big play upside...  I've starting bigger questions marks than Lockett.

Funchess has been startable since like week 2 or 3. And no chance he should be dropped between then and the KB trade. Now that he is the #1 it's moot anymore.

And you shouldn't wait this long on Davis in redraft to then think about cutting him. Trade if anything. He only played week 1 with minimal TC and had a good game. There is a really good chance he emerges the second half of this season. You know you would hate it if you dropped him after all this time and then he explodes for your opponent.

Depends on league size and scoring format I guess. He's been a mid-to-low end WR2 in my return yards leagues so far (WR31 in my dyno currently, where he finished as WR11 in his rookie season) and still has plenty of upside, but without those return yards he loses a lot of appeal (and a #4 WR isn't exactly hard to find on the waiver). But even in those you don't really want to cut him after last week. 

For me it's been Watkins and D. Henry so far. A lot more upside than anything on the waiver, but no weekly floor whatsoever. Have Brown and Allen on bye this week but I still hate to start either of those guys - rolling with Kupp and C. Davis this week.
