Footballguy
QB

tier 1

1.Aaron Rodgers- Stud in every way. even gets your rushing yards. only 26. I just don't see anything you cant like about this guy

tier 2

2 Drew Brees- Elite in every sense. but i consider him and Rodgers equal and the age difference is just to much for me

3 Philip Rivers- Good everything expect top 3-7 finishes for the next 7 years

tier 3

4 Peyton Manning- again elite. IMO the best QB in the league. but hes 34

tier 4

5 Matt Schaub.Great when hes in there, just a bit of an injury risk.

6 Tony Romo- great situation. good QB

7 Tom Brady- Its Tom Brady.

tier 5

8 Matt Ryan- young with lots of potential and a solid offense around him

9 Joe Flacco- love the addition of Boldin, i like Flacco for the future and even this year could be top 7

10 Kevin Kolb- A lot of ??? here, But i like what Ive seen so far

RB

Tier 1

1 Adrian Peterson - Most talented RB IMO, I am still worried about him getting hurt, but he continues to prove me wrong every year.

He seemed to improve catching the ball out of the backfield last year, which will help those games when they put ten men in the box

against him

2 Chris Johnson- This was a tough choice for me between Johnson and ADP, but in the end i think peterson will get more TDs. no knock

on CJ though, no doubt the real deal

Tier 2

3 Ray Rice- Love his running style and durability. Consider him and MJD equal but Rice gets the nod because of age. look for big things

from this guy this year with a better passing game and hopefully less TD vulturing from Mcgahee.

4 Maurice Jones-Drew- Little man runs with alot of power and is no doubt the real deal. expect more of the same from him for at least

the next 3 years barring injury. The last of the elite rbs IMO. pretty big dropoff after this guy IMO.

Tier 3

5 Steven Jackson- on talent alone belongs with the top 4. situation, being injury prone and having only 3 years left till hes 30 really

cap his dynasty value.

6 Frank Gore- see above(without the situation part)

7 Jonathan Stewart - LOVE the talent here. looks like this guy has everything here to be a top tier guy other than situation. unfortunately

for him it looks like deangelo isnt going anywhere. so unless there is a trade or big injury look for stewart to score like a low end RB1. But

know he has a very high ceiling

Tier 4

8 Beanie Wells-poor mans Stewart and is only 21. lots to like here.

9 Rashard Mendenhall- like the talent , if he keeps his head on straight should be a top 10 back for the next 5 years

10 Deangelo Williams - is really being wasted fantasy-wise. really says something that he can keep his starting job from stewart

tier 5

11 Knowshon Moreno- not an elite talent but could be a very productive back, also has the job to himself.

12 Shonn Greene - great situation, i question the talent , but as long as hes holds on to the job hes a top 15 guy, maybe top 10

13 Jahvid Best - i think this guy is the next big think barring injury. that and size are the only knocks on him, but recently there have been

a few examples of size not being asn issue for rbs today

14 Michael Turner- has been a stud in the games he has played for the falcons. Age is an issue but not as much mileage as most 28 year old's.

doesn't catch the ball but consistently gets the ball in the endzone. could see 3 more years of top ten production.

15 Ryan Mathews- great situation for this guy.if he can stay on the field you can expect a to 20 finish this year a top 10s in his prime

WR

tier 1

1 Calvin Johnson- age is the factor that puts him ahead of andre and i think he has a higher ceiling than fitz

2 Larry Fitzgerald- stud i dont think the switch to leinart hurts him as much as people think.

3 Andre Johnson- the last of the elite wrs. only issue i have with him is hes 29 so its hard for me to put him in front of the first 2

tier 2

4 Brandon Marshall- tier 1 talent. but simply an unreliable ########

5 Greg Jennings- young, great situation and good all around wr. not sure he has elite talent but i see a solid future

6 Roddy white- good talent and good situation. solid guy to have on your team expect more of the same from him the next 3-5 years

tier 3

7 Desean Jackson- young and explosive. i buy everything other than a consistency aspect. he will throw up some 3 for 20 weeks but will also throw

up some 150 and 2td weeks

8 Dez Bryant- elite talent IMO. could be the next big thing if he keeps himself out of trouble. elite talent in every aspect

9 Michael Crabtree- some of the best hands ive ever seen. could see him developing into a great possession reciever. see a few 100+ reception seasons in

his future

tier 4

10 miles austin - solid player but dez hurts his dynasty value

11 Vincent Jackson-great situation and very solid deep threat. never been sold on him as a stud but with get you solid top 15 production.

12 Reggie Wayne- elite talent for sure. but hes 31 and declined towards the end of last year. lots of guys out in indy this year. and peyton likes to spread

it around. i could see a top 10 finish. but i could also see a drop out of the top 20.

13 Marques Colston- great situation but it almost takes away from his production. high floor(top 25-15) but low ceiling(top 8-12) type guy for his talent. also could

be problems if Meachem is the real deal.

tier 5

14 Sidney Rice- could be an allusion made by Favre im not sure yet. he did nothing till he got there but was a stud when Favre was there last year. jury is out for me on rice till farve is gone. but hey farve could be around for ten more years. if so then this guy could have top ten production every year

15 Steve Smith car- elite talent and hopefully a decent QB this year. he is 30 but i could see this guy putting up huge numbers for 3 more years if he gets a QB

16 Hakeem Nicks-like the talent and Eli loves tossing it to his no.1 wr

TE

tier 1

1 Jermichael Finley

2 Antonio Gates

3 Vernon Davis

4 Dallas Clark

5. jason witten

tier 2

6 Kellen Winslow

tier 3

7 Brent Celek

8 Owen Daniels

tier 4

9 Tony Gonzalez

10 Jermaine Gresham

You must love Dez. How do you put him over guys CURRENTLY doing what we EXPECT him to do in the FUTURE?

Best is way too migh for my liking and where is Miles Austin? No way Nicks and S.Smith have more value than he does. Jamaal Charles is top 15, IMO too.

But good rankings.

LOL def forgot about miles austin haha

Without vetting your list for things like omitting Austin, I can get on board with these rankings. I quibble over a few items.

Romo over Rivers and Schaub, and easily.

If I owned Gore or SJax I'd try to get Wells+ or Greene+ in return.

I know it's difficult to gauge DeAngelo Williams/Jonathan Stewart, but I think Williams is top 5-6.

Knowshown - more than a quibble here. Sure every player has value, but for all intents and purposes he's off my radar.

Concur on Marshall at #4. Top 3 WRs = Tier 1 and I have Marshall in Tier 2 by himself. After that it gets fuzzy for the next 10 or so WRs.

TEs: I'll let somebody else pay more for Owen Daniels. Tony Gonzalez top ten this year maybe, but he's near the cliff.

good thread.

QB: Romo tier 2 with his weapons maybe tier one problem is he throws in a bad game every once in a while.

WR: Austin has to be around 7-9. I see you like Bryant better but tere are still alot of questionmarks before he hits the field in regular season

TE: I am not sure about Witten at 1.

Other than that i wouldn't change anyone more than a few spots

QB5 Matt Schaub.Great when hes in there, just a bit of an injury risk.
Why is Schaub constantly being tagged as an injurty risk? Those were huge hits that took him out, not simple bruises, cuts, or scrapes. ANY QB would have been out because of those cheap shots he took. In fact, I think he's pretty tough. I think there was a game last year wher he took a big hit on the second play of the game and had to leave. If I recall correctly, I think he returned after halftime and put up some great numbers. This 'injury prone' label has to stop. Barring any more cheap shots, I think he has a good cance to be top 3 QB this year.

No Randy Moss, I know he didn't have an awesome year but the guy is better then Dez Bryant, Crabtree. I'd also move Wayne up as well.

The last few players on those WR and TE lists are pretty sketchy and I don't feel particularly strong about any of them. Could easily be convinced to switch the order up or put different players there.

I'd take 2 or 3 years of what Moss did last year over all but probably 2 or 3 of the WR you have one your list.

thats a pretty stupid statement...ok so moss three?... i remember my first beer

Zach Miller anyone?

Look at what Campbell did with Cooley, pre injury. I think Miller is a lock to be a top10 TE, possibly even top5. Hell, even with Russel and Bruce he put up good enough numbers to finish #8 last year.

I would call this an oversight...

No what is stupid is saying that Moss only has 2 or 3 years left and keeping him off your list altogether. Moss has ranked 1, 10 and 2 among WRs the last 3 years. Anybody in their right mind would take a guy in their top 10, let alone top 15, who would rank 1, 10 and 2 at their position. Now if you don't think he is going to put up similar numbers over the next 2 or 3 years as he has in recent seasons then that's a different thing. WRs have proven capable of posting great fantasy numbers well into their 30s, so I'm not sure I can really buy that argument though.

because id rather have dez crabtree colston austin rice for the next 8-10 years...even if its only top 15-20 production
