***Dynasty Rankings Update*** (1 Viewer)

Ok,

Without any assistance from anyone else (including one Mr. Bloom), I just took my crack at the Dynasty Rankings.

They are also filtered into the veterans.

I think you know the links, right?

Here's a start. Just use the drop-downs to jump to others:

Rookie Top 40

There's also a Top 40 rookie list.

Remember this is NOT PPR.

Warnings / caveats / disclaimers - I sat down and knocked this out over the course of several hours. There's a pretty darn good chance I missed someone. Sorry. Just post here (politely) and I'll fix it when I can.

Discuss all you want, but please let's take the word PRELIMINARY to heart, shall we?

Enjoy.

I'll check in when I can - another busy day.

Nothing but minor nitpicks here...solid rankings. (Hasseley is going to have to hold off a mob due to his Forte and Rice rankings though...)

Mike Hart got a nice boost landing in Indy but I still wouldn't select him in the first 3 rounds of a rookie draft.

Great stuff. Thanks.

Just one question regarding the WR rankings.

Ten NFL GMs decided they wanted a Wr in RD 2 of this draft. The first eight of them passed on Limas Sweed. Yet he's in the top 10 overall players on two of the dynasty rankings.

I do understand that this is for fantasy purposes so immediately that makes it different. I also understand that sometimes NFL GMs take guys with return abilities higher, or slot WRs to fit their offenses etc.

I just seems like some of the name guys are still getting ranking higher than they should be despite what we saw this past weekend.

Thanks for pushing these out so quickly. After taking a look at the rankings, I wonder how much the view of the current "starter" plays a role into the ranking of the rookie. Especially in a draft like this where nearly every RB drafted had a guy already starting ahead of him (except perhaps McFadden).

Too much love for Rice and WR'S in general. Not enough love for Torain stilll but this one is best I seen yet and they are getting better by the day!

Washington taking 2 splits their value - not enough targets to go around.I liked Sweed and I think he went to a nice spot.More of a statement that there's a big drop after about 6-7 RBs come off the rookie board.

:hey:I had an inkling of general value of guys before the draft, so afterwards the situation does factor in.Regardless of your thoughts, rooks are locked to the team that drafts them for 4 years. That's a long, long time in the NFL. As such, situation is an important factor.I had Rice over Forte before the draft, but Rice's being behind McGahee and Forte getting the keys to Chicago flipped them.Same thing with Kelly and Thomas - both in DC? Ouch - unless Santana Moss leaves, there's not enough room.

Always loved Rice - I think he's an every-down guy and a very good talent. Many will view him as the next Turner-type situation (very good back stuck behind a starter).Torain - 2 things. 1, I don't have a ton on him. 2, he's in Denver. Good luck with that weekly headache for "WDIS".Love for WRs in general?

Nice Job Jeff, we don't see eye to eye on DMAC but everything else was super solid.

Good job and thanks alot for working to get these out so soon, dont agree with you on everything but for the most part I like them. I dont like Flacco so high, or Chris Johnson so low, I think Kelly is way too high and I would have Sweed, Doucet, and Avery all over him.

And I dont usually like to criticize or make light of anyone else's rankings, and I like out of the box thinking, but Haseley's rankings are just ridiculous. I love the articles he writes for the site but I just cant take any ranking with Kevin Smith at 2 and Ray Rice and Matt Forte at 25 and 26...has he seen these guys play?

Can't help but notice the order of the list is Jeff's order as opposed to the far left "Current Rankings" list. Intentional?

Either way, nice job!

I can't speak for Jeff, but - um, yeah, he's gonna hear about those rankings for sure. You're welcome for me cranking these out. I wanted to see how it shook out myslef fo rone, and I've got 1-2 drafts to worry about soon as well (actually in Rd 3 of one now).I really like Flacco, and I've said that around these boards quite a bit. I think he is the next Big Ben (and I'm sure I'll catch some flak for that). I've talked with his Pro Day trainer and I know some of the program at UDel, so he's a good find. Read the Flacco thread for more.Chris Johnson - sorry, but I can't rate a Kick Returner too high. That's going to be his primary usage this year, so I don't know what else to say. He could work his way into the backfield rotation, but that is still occupied by Fudgie the LenWhale and Chris Henry 2.0.Kelly and Thomas are hard to rank - one will likely get a starter role sooner rather than later, but who?Avery? Really? The guy is a speedster but the book on him is that he doesn't run routes well.

just click the arrow in the first column on the left where it says current rankings and it fixes that

Thanks for keeping in non PPR.Can I confirm this is dynasty rankings for the rookies and not 2008 production? The title does not say.
