Dynasty team check-in **UPDATE- trade offer for 1.01 (2 Viewers)

El Floppo

Footballguy
12 team, no PPR... 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 flex, limited IDPs

My team is stuck in the doldrums last few years, just losing out on playoff spot or losing in 1st round.

QB- Jackson, Stafford
RB- Mixon, Connor, Pollard, B Allen, Charbonet, Lloyd, J Warren
WR- D Adams, Smith-Njigbe, Waddle, D Hop, Cooks, Meyers, Polk, Ikine-Westbrook
TE- Bowers, Okonkeo

Couple questions or general advice...

1..... I have the 1.07. Guy with 1.01 is shopping it, looking for draft capital and quality WR. Suggest a trade- does 1.07 + Waddle or Adams help me? Is it enough? I'm terrible with trades, so could use the advice here

2.... Or should I stick with the 1.07? Recommendations for that pick? I have a feeling value will end up being the TE.

3.... Any other general thoughts on what to do with this team?

Thanks!

I would actually be shocked if they took 1.07 and Waddle/Adams. I would jump on it if they are interested. Obviously with age, I'd rather move Adams.
You are in a tough spot overall. You are nearing the end of the line with both Connor and Mixon. Harris getting moved gives you some light with Warren but its pretty bleak after that.
If you arent able to land the 1.01, I would seriously consider selling off Mixon, Connor and Adams.
Its a pretty deep RB class, so getting extra darts isnt a bad idea. If everything stays as is, I'd have no problem drafting Tyler Warren at 1.07 even with Bowers on your roster. I'm a "best available" guy in dynasties unless you have a position of need ranked very closely to the best available.

A player as old as Adams + 1.7 has potential to insult imo. At best, it won't get it done.

1.07 + Waddle is fair enough to offer, but won't get it done. I doubt that throwing in an aging RB like Pollard/Mixon/Connor tempts him, but if he's in win-now mode and has holes to plug, stranger things have happened.

General thoughts. You got a lot going. No reason you have to make a trade if the value isn't there. I would love to have a dynasty team with years of the TE advantage ahead of me. R.I.P. to the good old days when I had Kelce near his prime and thought Kincaid might be able to take the torch :crying:.

I like Bowers so much, that I would personally be tempted to shop Lamar Jackson while he's still a stud even by 1QB standards. If you did go that route, it's mandatory that you're also looking to move Mixon, Connor, Pollard, and Adams while they still carry value. In this scenario, load up on as many RBs as you can carry from this year's draft.

More realistically, you're good enough to win right now standing pat with Lamar Jackson and milking the aging RBs for what they're worth. Your WR depth is the only thing that's lacking. I love JSN and Waddle for dynasty. My hope is that their value is as low right now as it's going to be for quite some time. No issues with BPA RB/WR at 1.7. Personally, I'm out on Warren and Loveland at that spot if I have Bowers. All over Hunter and probably Tet at that spot if they get there. Possibly Burden. Egbuka is a little rich for that spot. I don't even think late 1st capital sells me on Golden. Will happily take Hampton, Henderson, Judkins. Kaleb Johnson tbd. Skattebo would really take a team buying in big on Day 2.

Probably a lot less open-ended, but also open to any thoughts on where to take this dynasty:

12 team, 1/2 PPR, 1QB
1 QB - 2 RB - 2 WR - 1 WRT FLEX - 1 TE (non-premium)

QB: Mahomes, Maye
RB: CMC, Spears, Bigsby, Miller, McLaughlin, Pierce, Tucker
WR: Lamb, AJB, Higgins, Godwin, Waddle
TE: Kraft, Kincaid, Goedert, Gray
Picks: 1.3, 1.5, 1.12, 2.3, 5th rnd

Plan is to hit RB and hit it hard. Double RB probably should be the gameplan at 1.3 & 1.5, but I'm not sleeping on Hunter if he's available and a primary WR on the Browns. I'm not sold on Tet even at 1.5, at least not for my roster. Open to the TEs, Burden, Egbuka, Kaleb Johnson, and I think Skattebo at 1.12. Lacking leftovers, Day 3 RB getting the most hype at 2.3

The thing I find myself thinking about the most is whether I should try to cash in AJB while he's still up the charts at WR1, but I'm afraid it might already be too late to get anything that would be worth it.

One last thought. It has been my experience that the 1.01, whether Bijan or Jeanty, is always officially on the market, but a deal is never consummated. Usually just the 1.01 owner's opportunity to dream about all of the possibilities before being forced to lock in.

My guess is he'll end up asking for way more than what you're willing to fork over. Rather than going after the shiny new prize of 2025, you might get more bang for the buck going after the less shiny prize of 2024. I would kick the tires on MHJ. It will probably take more than the 1.7, but I would much rather have him than any of the WR options you'll see in this draft.

It definitely works for you but I doubt it works for the other guy.
I have a feeling value will end up being the TE.
I wouldn't force a TE at 1.07. It's a non TE Premium one TE league right? You have Bowers. Take the best RB or WR on your board at 1.07

You need to improve (get younger) your RB room. Mixon/Conner are guys I would be looking to trade mid season to get younger.

Thoughts on 1.07, 1st round 2026, WR (Waddle or Adams) for this year's 1.01?

Fair? Too much? Too little? Is start with next year's 2nd and see if there was any interest.

I'm usually drafting towards the back end of the 1st 2 rounds and miss the elite talent.

Ok. A couple back and forth, and we're currently at:

I give: 1.07, Waddle, Warren (both Jaylens), 2026 2nd round (likely middle to back), 2027 3rd round (likely early to middle)

I get: 1.01, 2026-28 5th round pick (our rookie draft is 5 rounds)

Thoughts?

QB- Jackson, Stafford
RB- Mixon, Connor, Pollard, B Allen, Charbonet, Lloyd, J Warren
WR- D Adams, Smith-Njigbe, Waddle, D Hop, Cooks, Meyers, Polk, Ikine-Westbrook
TE- Bowers, Okonkeo
(thanks to Blocked Punt for his reply)

if I do this trade, my team and potential starters would like:

QB- Jackson, Stafford
RB- Jeunty, Mixon, Connor, Pollard, B Allen, Charbonet, Lloyd,
WR- D Adams, Smith-Njigbe, D Hop, Cooks, Meyers, Polk, Ikine-Westbrook
TE- Bowers, Okonke

Did my team get better? (knowing I'm losing a mid-late 2nd rounder next year).
Do I pull the trigger? Counter?

If I could move the 1.07 and Adams for the 1.01 (and take Jeanty) I am RUNNNNNING to the room to get that trade done. On paper you are looking at something like best case RB scenario Judkins and Waddle for Ashton Jeanty. Looks good for both sides, my favorite type of trade!

My general thoughts on your team as well are pretty positive! I'd love to see you move Conner, Mixon, Pollard for a competent WR3 for your team. Maybe look to the Chris Godwin manager and kick the tires on him for Mixon.

Did you see the current offer just above this?

Thoughts?
I do this for Jeanty in a heartbeat. Easy smash accept for me.

I've got 2 "take it" votes... anybody else?
