How bad is it for me to offer Gore/Crowell/3rd for a 1st?

Zealots dynasty league, non-PPR.  53 man rosters, start 1-3 RBs.

My team has lost all its QBs and WRs to injury, so I'm guessing I'll finish around 11th in the league.

Opposing team is tied for highest record and will win this week, definitely will make playoffs.  He has Lesean McCoy, CJ Anderson, and Adrian Peterson.

I offered Frank Gore, Isaiah Crowell, and a 2018 3rd round pick (call it 3.03)

I asked for a 2018 first round pick (call it 1.10).

He doesn't like the trade, which is fine with me, but he seems quite insulted by the offer.  How bad is it?

Gore is basically useless in a dynasty league with no real value.  Crowell is all in the eye of the beholder.  Some will think he is a buy low but others will think he is useless.  Looking at the trade partners RB's these two guys don't really offer up anything than a bit of depth but no real usefulness unless injuries hit.  This is a very weak offer for a first rounder and I can see where some will think it insulting.

Thanks for the feedback.  I guess I'm wrong on this one - it's borderline insulting.  I made the same offer to another owner who didn't take it, but said he wasn't insulted - just likes to build through the draft.

It's a weak offer. Gore being very low, Crowell has potential but limited by team play, and the 3rd is low for the middle of the season.

Crowell + Player X + 3rd for a late first could be possible, but Player X needs decent dynasty value. Dealing with someone who is offended easily it is usually best to let them make an offer if possible. Intrigue them with the potential of a player and pick, but work them to make the first offer.
