Looking toward the future already.

Does Calhoun or Robinson(SF) have more value in the future?

Will either end up starting(ever)?

Kevin Jones seems to be average at best and Frank Gore is bound to get hurt again.

I am leaning towards Calhoun getting a chance to take over Det. starting Rb job with jones' recent struggles.

Let me know what you think.

Hard to tell as you never know what they can do once given the opportunity.

Gore & Jones are decent injury risks. I'd lean toward Calhoun, but I actually own both as 5th and 6th backs.

Calhoun could possibly win Detroit's starting RB position for a half a season if KJ was really stinking up the joint, but I don't think you'll ever see him as the lead back for any extended period.

Both are tremendous athletes. I think Calhoun gets a lot of PT towards the last 1/3 of this season. Maybe sooner if Jones pulls up lame as he normaly has in the past.

Robinson has been getting rave reveiws from the coaching staff in SF. He is a solid handcuff to Gore. But as long as Gore is lineing up he is warming the bench.

Calhoun is the better pick-up IMO but if you have room for both do it.

Calhoun, but it's a lot closer than it would have been a few months ago. Robinson certainly looks like a natural RB, and the starter on his team is more likely to get hurt... Calhoun is still the one I'd prefer because of what he was able to do at Wisconsin, and his natural fit in the Martz offense (assuming Martz sticks around Detroit at all)
