Dynasty: Where to draft Trey Burton WHIR (1 Viewer)

Trey Burton is the best of the non rookies in our pool. Where should he land compared to this rookie class? If he's available and slipping under the radar I may trade up to snag... Trying to get a gauge on his value in this rookie class. I have kyle rudolph and Eifert in a 14 team league. Was thinking maybe taking him at 2.07 (21st overall)... Would you think he is taken sooner? I have seen Gesicki going anywhere from 1.12-2.08... Does he have more value to my team than trying to land Gesicki?

I think he will be long gone by then.  Easily the first TE taken and 21st is typically later than Gesicki goes in most leagues as the first TE.

Top 8 RBs, Moore, Ridley.  At that point (1.11) I would start considering Burton.  I'd probably still take Kirk over him gun to my head, so give me him in the 1.12 range.

I agree with Freebagel. Burton will be the first TE taken and earlier than you think. TEs take years to develop and rookie contribution by TE is rare and limited. I can see Burton going just after the 1.09 if a team has deep pockets and RB and WR.

I understand the reasoning however you are ok at TE and don't need to force it.  Serviceable TE's are usually pretty easy to find each year so I wouldn't use a ton of draft stock to acquire one.  Depending on league scoring and my roster construction I would also possibly throw in the 4 QB's ahead of the TE's.  I just don't think TE is that impactful and there are usually guys you can pick up to use during the year.
