E. James gets his wish (1 Viewer)

Let me see, worst o=line in the league, trying to kill the clock for basically the 2`nd half and running off tackle EVERY first 2 plays of each possesion against the Bears. What was the line, "you might never see these 3 factors come together again in your lifetime" it`s the perfect storm! For cripes sake Denny, try somehting, anything other than slamming James up the middle all nite long.

I have no idea how you run 46 plays in the second half and score 3 points. It's mind-boggling.24 passes included there. So at least he passed more than he ran.

truth is that they really should be watching film of the old colts games. Edge does better when you run him out of the spread. Arizona has that ability, they just don't run the play that much. With 2 TEs in there last night, edge did nothing. With a spread formation, he got his yards.

:goodposting: I was thinking the same thing. He's not a 4 yards and a cloud of dust type back (especially behind that O-line). He's shifty and slides off of tackles. It's tough to spin and cut and make people miss when there are 12 guys in a 15 sq ft. space. He needs room to work and they need to keep their dangerous passing game a threat at all times to be effective.

I made a similar thread after the first quarter of last night. When they came out in the shotgun for the first possession, Edge had 25 yards rushing I think. He was able to see the holes develop and burst through, being able to juke the LBs. When they never went to shotgun again, he didn't do jack. I put this one on Green....dude, stick with what works!

I don't think Arizona has the line that makes it plausible to go spread all the time. They need to protect Leinart.
