Perhaps more importantly than any of that though, Philly had Lane Johnson for that game, and don't now.

I think the Eagles come out trying to establish the run with Barkley, as they are even more loathe to be pass 1st with Johnson out. I also think we could see the return of more read option stuff for Hurts (which they ran a lot of in that week one game, but not as much since)

I think the Eagles D is very different than it was in week 1, I don't think they let Lamb get matched up so frequently with Adoree Jackson (as a Lamb shareholder I wish they would though) but I think Pickens is a much bigger weapon now than he was then, with his rapport with Dak, that I think the coverage is gonna be on its heels a lot. I do think they mostly shut down the Dallas run game, but I think Dak can have a good game this week.

Oh yeah by no means is this a “guaranteed win” and if Dallas beats the Eagles I won’t be shocked.

But if they come out and get 30+ points and rip off 450 yards of offense, then I would be shocked.

Do you think this is a Pickens game?

I think it can be. In week 1, they basically locked Quinyon Mitchell onto Pickens and that was that, Dak didn't really challenge it because Lamb was getting open at will, and if it weren't for some drops, Dallas wins that game.

Pickens has only gotten a greater rapport with Pickens since then, and I think if Philly uses the same plan, Dak won't hesitate to challenge it now. If they change it up, or treat Lamb and Pickens as equals, that opens another avenue for Pickens. I would rank Lamb ahead of Pickens this week, don't get me wrong, but I think Pickens isn't gonna be 4 targets for 3-30. He'll get more looks, and likely those will be more downfield as well, even against the improved Eagles pass rush.

I'd be treating Pickens as a top-15 WR, instead of the top-10 WR he usually would be, but I wouldn't be worried about him.

Philly doesn't have a chance to repeat, but they do have a strong D. The main attraction is the Cowboys' O against the Eagles' D, but the key to the game might be Philly's O against Dallas' D.

We know Dallas will be a better team next season with all the talent Jerry has brought in as Philly struggles to keep pace, but this one is likely a toss-up. Two similarly talented teams at this point.

Dak is something like 19-2 at home against NFCE opponents. Unreal. I said in the Eagles thread that I think this is a loss. But I also reserved the right to completely flip my opinion based on my geekedness for this game.

Soooo, with the additions of Phillips and BG, getting Nolan Smith back and Nakobe playing like an all pro this defense is top 2. They won’t be able to completely bottle up Dallas but they’ll keep them to mid 20’s. Expect a couple of turnovers.

I personally think they’ve been keeping Jalen from running at all. The designed runs are way down and they basically don’t run RPOs anymore.

I think that changes in this game. They’ve protected their QB for most of the season, are 8-2 and honestly if they can get out of Dallas with a win, they might run the table.

Running Jalen open it up for literally everyone else. Saquon benefits the most obviously but the WRs will get open easier also.

I’m expecting a big game for the offense today as they finally uncork Jalen.

The only pause I have about this game us it's a division game and the Cowboys are at home. But it's not enough for me to pick Dallas, It's just enough for me to say that the score will be close, but Eagles win. Something like 27-23.

It's true Eagles don't have many blowouts on their record this year. It's also true they've played a brutal schedule and mostly good defenses. Outside of that one weird game in NY, nobody has blown up this defense though. Meanwhile Dallas has allowed several teams to blow up on them. I don't think the Eagles blowing them out is likely...I expect it to stay close most of the game though I predicted a 10 point win...but I wouldn't find it surprising either. Not because of who the Eagles are, but because of who the Cowboys are
