I like the confidence. The Cowboy’s best win this year was a tie with the Pack. Something is whispering to me that this will be a close game, possibly an upset for Dallas. Constant distractions will catch-up to PHI eventually.Eagles 31
Cowboys 16
Cowboys will be having Jaelan Phillips nightmares. This is one of those games Jalen Hurts just goes off bc he is sick of so much noise when the team keeps winning.
Dallas is going to find out what a real defense feels like.

I don’t disagree with your confidence. PHI is the better team and their D is a B to face. I also think DAL has the “potential” offensively to make this a game. The NFL is weird and rivalry games can be tough to predict. The Eagles defense as a whole has allowed 9 total passing touchdowns this year (tied for lowest), have allowed a passer rating of 78.0(3rd lowest) and have only allowed a completion rate of 56.6% (lowest). That’s all while being ranked 24th in sacks, which tells you how sticky the coverage has been this year.
And now we actually have a pass rush.
The Houston Texans lead the league in defensive EPA per play at .13.
When Phillips is on the field the Eagles are at .34 EPA per play on defense.
Notable QBs the Eagles have played this year to help accumulate these stats:
All wins
Dak
Love
Mahomes
Goff
Mayfield
Stafford
Sure the offense doesn’t look good but I feel the coverage of this has far outweighed any coverage of how INSANE this defense is playing right now.
Confidence: warranted.

Do you think this is a Pickens game? This is the game of the week in my opinion. Also, a monster game for Dallas, as they need to win badly. On the one hand, the Eagles didn't have Jalen Carter or Jaelen Phillips in the 1st meeting, on the other hand, Dallas didn't have Quinnen Williams or Jadeveon Clowney, and Donovan Ezeiruaku (quietly a DROY candidate) was a backup at the time. Perhaps more importantly than any of that though, Philly had Lane Johnson for that game, and don't now.
I think the Eagles come out trying to establish the run with Barkley, as they are even more loathe to be pass 1st with Johnson out. I also think we could see the return of more read option stuff for Hurts (which they ran a lot of in that week one game, but not as much since)
I think the Eagles D is very different than it was in week 1, I don't think they let Lamb get matched up so frequently with Adoree Jackson (as a Lamb shareholder I wish they would though) but I think Pickens is a much bigger weapon now than he was then, with his rapport with Dak, that I think the coverage is gonna be on its heels a lot. I do think they mostly shut down the Dallas run game, but I think Dak can have a good game this week.

I think it can be. In week 1, they basically locked Quinyon Mitchell onto Pickens and that was that, Dak didn't really challenge it because Lamb was getting open at will, and if it weren't for some drops, Dallas wins that game.Do you think this is a Pickens game? This is the game of the week in my opinion. I think an Eagles blowout would be surprising as well. They’ve blown out one team (the Giants) all year. They don’t have the fire power in offense to blow out teams this year.feels like Eagles are due to disappoint, though they are clearly the better team here. Still, wouldn't be high in any confidence pool...road game against a hated and desperate divisional rival isn't the scenario to inspire high confidence.
Eagles 27 Dallas 17...but not a high confidence prediction. NOthing but a Dallas blowout would surprise me

1. Its true though, the offense performs best when he need to be accounted for by the defense, either in reaction to designed runs or RPOs or both. This is hyperbole - take it easy:
I call your bum QB a running QB and every key to victory or way to open up the offense is if Jalen runs. Hilarious.
Dak was famously undefeated against the Eagles his entire career until week 1 this season.I can’t predict an NFC divisional game. Both teams are completely different. Week 1 teams barely resemble what they become later. That transformation is bigger than any single weekly change.
Eagles O line is missing two starters? I think the key is Overshown tracking down QRB Hurts when the middle collapses with all the firepower the Cowboys now have at DT. Yall got the buffalo kid but Williams is that dude. No hyperbole here - he is him. OSA is now free to wreck.
I know Dak can turn back into a pumpkin at any point but IIRC, he’s never lost to Philly or maybe only once? Somebody brought up his divisional record and it’s insane.
Cowboys are also playing at home for the first time since Kneeland’s passing. It’s going to be emotional but that can backfire sometimes too and players wear out after an initial charge.
Let’s just hope we get a good game with just the right amount of scoring and no injuries or bad calls.

I don’t know why it’s strange when it’s a completely factual statement. It’s possible that the offense suddenly starts to show life against a bad defense on the road. Just don’t think it’s probable and yes an Eagles blowout would be very surprising to me.I think an Eagles blowout would be surprising as well. They’ve blown out one team (the Giants) all year. That's a strange statement. They have the fire power. The thing is, look at their schedule, they've played almost every good team in the league. There aren't many weeks where you'd expect them to blow out their opponent. They're getting ready to go on a stretch in their schedule where they face some of the worst defenses in the league instead of some of the best. When all is said and done, the offense will be top 10 in the league, probably around 6-8 where they've been virtually every year with Hurts.

The roster is the same as last year.
The Offensice Coaches are not.
Thats my guess to what is strange as if the Eagles “do not have a roster that can score points on offense” seems like …ya know…something strange to say.
You can say the coaching has been lacking, the play calling, the cohesion, the line play, the execution etc.
But IMO saying “they don’t have firepower” is strange

It's true Eagles don't have many blowouts on their record this year. It's also true they've played a brutal schedule and mostly good defenses. Outside of that one weird game in NY, nobody has blown up this defense though. Meanwhile Dallas has allowed several teams to blow up on them. I don't think the Eagles blowing them out is likely...I expect it to stay close most of the game though I predicted a 10 point win...but I wouldn't find it surprising either. Not because of who the Eagles are, but because of who the Cowboys areI don’t know why it’s strange when it’s a completely factual statement.
My teenage daughters handle criticism better than these grown *** men.
lol no.The only question...will anyone talk about, you know, the game?

To start, by only missing one lineman. Cam Jurgens is not listed on the injury report. So talking football…
How do the eagles handle missing two of your linemen? Do you really think the revamped Cowboys line can’t get pressure now?
And yet you engage with them.Cowboys fans always talking about fans and posters in here more than actual football never change guys!Anything other than the eagles are the best at everything is going to get you called out. You should know that by now lolGot it. Ok that I can understand. I should have used different words but my overall point was that I would be surprised with a blowout either way. I think it comes down to the last drive. The Eagles don’t have the firepower is the strange statement IMO.I don’t know why it’s strange when it’s a completely factual statement. It’s possible that the offense suddenly starts to show life against a bad defense on the road. Just don’t think it’s probable and yes an Eagles blowout would be very surprising to me.I think an Eagles blowout would be surprising as well. They’ve blown out one team (the Giants) all year.
