I'm not an Eagles' fan so talk to me about this, I highlighted the 155 TDs Hurts is responsible for
I don't care if he throws them into the end zone, runs them into the end zone, digs a tunnel underneath and pops out like a groundhog at the goal line

But I also understand what you are trying to say which is the passing game suffers
I have been saying that you can't just turn a passing attack on and off like a switch. If you don't call Smith's number all night and then you try to throw a bullet at him in the waning moments when you are trying to save your *** or the team, yeah things might go wrong

They also were in extremely tight and tough football games the past couple weeks, i thought they might need IVs by the middle of the 1st Q tonight but that has not been the case so far
I kinda see it the way you do or I understand the point you're making, I've read your posts for a long time, neither of us would build our team around a running QB

That said, I don't think of Hurts as just a running QB that sometimes will decide to throw a pass or two, he's a lot better than that. You don't hold the Lombardi Trophy after winning the Super Bowl if you're just a running QB, not that I've seen but maybe I'm not thinking clearly right now, that's always possible by the 4:00 windows of the Sunday games

I see Jalen Hurts as a gimmick, though. More lucky than good and needs help half the time getting over the goal line. He's more the product of the system and a good DEF that bails him out. You think the tush push was invented because he can do it on his own? I doubt it. I mean, he's not terrible right now but WHEN - and it will come - he has to rely on passing because of age or injury, then we'll see how bad he really is.

if Philly can reach the Super Bowl for the 3rd time in 4 years, that's an era or close to it for football where you dominate your conference

PHI needs to get home on Dak more. I don't think they have a sack yet. They're kind of popping that pocket at times; but Dak doesn't feel under duress much. PHI needs to come out at half and get a nice 5-8 min drive with at least a FG. Keeping that DAL D on the field is key.

Worse case scenario for PHI. 3 and out coming out of halftime and then DAL scores 7 with just a bolt of lightning. Then its a game...and momentum will have shifted.

Even Montana says Marino had a better arm and better QB, doesn't matter, Montana had to do things in order to lead the Niners, I'm not disparaging him
I'm just saying we can find examples of system QBs and that doesn't mean they are not good at their role with the team

The Eagles are smart, they don't rely on the arm of their Quarterback solely the way the Bengals do...they have good strong lines although I think some cracks in that OL are showing but they're strong on defense and they drafted a couple of good ones last year at DB with Mitchell and Dejean

I'd give my eye teeth to get Howie away from Philly and bring him to Miami, maybe just the boredom of winning would push him to try it all over again elsewhere
