It wasn’t a head shot, he got hit in the upper back.

But nonetheless a terrible job by the refs to not blow the whistle sooner.

He was being held by two other defender and being driven backwards more than three yards. The whistle hadn’t blown so I mean I mean I guess but no bueno.

NO...it was 6+ yards, and the D lineman hit him full speed from the OPPOSITE direction. That's completely un-necessary. We can argue whether or not it's dirty, but it certainly isn't smart

Yeah, that guy knew exactly what he was doing. The forward progress was stopped. This is where you take a blind side block penalty the next series.
 
So we had a huge run last series for a TD. I expect 3 ride and decide plays where hurts keeps the ball and takes it for -3 yards to punt.
