McCarthy was pretty bad on the two games he was in. Like I never got why people rated him so high. He was an avg Game manager on a stacked Michigan Team. Never got that draft pick outside “we need a QB”. That’s the teams reaching just because we need a guy.

Sure, he hasn’t looked great. But, there’s at least upside. Wentz is Wentz. If you like hero ball, he’s your guy

There really isn’t much upside with McCarthy except he’s younger.

Yeah, I think the long slog to the Super Bowl and shortened off-season just physically took its toll. Landon and Jurgy really beat up, Lane nursing some injuries, and Mailata even admitting he didn’t feel right until TC started
