Eagles/Chiefs (1 Viewer)

yea i really havent been impressed with kolb so far this preseason. he spends way too much time running backwards and throwing off his backfoot. hoping its just him with some jitters hes working through but im not nearly as optimistic on the eagles as i was before the season

For people who are watching, is Maclin and Kolb just way off from each other.. a lot of incomplete passes between the two?
actually they look pretty good together two really long balls ive seen one was a blatant pi in the end zone that somehow didnt get called adn the other was a perfect throw that hit maclin in perfect stride that somehow went through his hands

im taking charles and mccoy off my watch list after seeing this game. looks like mccoy will get absolutely no short yardage touches ever and jones is gonna get more time than i thought he still looks pretty good.

Really starting to regret my decision on going Kolb... Is it the line or Kolb 3 BIG sacks. I cnat see the game anyone help that has eyes on the game?

Charles suffered some kind of injury at the end of the half. Eagle announcers weren't interested enough to give details

McCluster got WIDE open on a nice 23-yard catcch there but called back for OL holding.

Charles: 7 touches, 60 yards. Nuff said.

The Oline is killing him. He got flattened by a Studebaker unblocked; false starts; its ugly.

yea the o line has looked alarmingly bad. kolbs made a few very nice throws but most of the time hes just been evading defenders.

It's a good thing the Eagles upgraded from McNabb. What took them so long?
Who said they 'upgraded'? They went with a youth movement.
It's early..but I've had a suspicion for oh, about five months now, that the Eagles made a HUGE mistake in letting McNabb go. Nothing wrong with a youth movement, but you don't give up a top QB for a total unknown.Hopefully Kolb proves me wrong, because I've got alot in Maclin this year.

First, he isn't a total unknown for the coaching staff. And second, they needed to see what they have in him. McNabb wasn't staying forever and they need to see if Kolb is the long-term answer. I don't think anyone expects the Eagles to challenge for the NFC this year and it was the right time to move McNabb. They weren't signing him long-term.And from a Todd Herremans quote, McNabb didn't have the support of the younger players in the locker room.

From rotoworld:

DeSean Jackson suffered an upper back injury in the first quarter of Friday night's preseason game and will not return.

The team's decision to immediately declare Jackson's day done could've been made for a number of reasons. We're guessing it was precautionary. Coach Andy Reid should have a post-game update later tonight. D-Jax, who's looked terrific this preseason, had one catch for four yards before exiting. Aug. 27 - 8:32 pm et

This is still pre-season, isn't it?
Absolutely, and I expect the team to be better at the end of the year then they are at the beginning - and that goes for all the young guys. I have faith in Kolb, but I've never called him an upgrade over McNabb for 2010. I don't think many people are.
