Eagles fans fighting each other caught on tape at the Linc (1 Viewer)

Can't be much worse than a Jets Giants preseason game. 4 fights within 10 rows of me alone.

Kids shouldn't be allowed at any Philly sports event. It's a crap town and worse people. Should move to Detroit where life is better.

Remember when that Browns fan tackled the 8 year old Jets fan in the parking lot? And someone made a thread about it? Till the mods locked it. It was nice when the SP actually had some mods around.

Not that this isn't a great, informative thread. In fact everyone should start a new thread for every NFL fan fight they find on video. That would be some good Shark Pool reading.

The SP used to be Joe's baby. Remember when he used to come in here and scold everyone for not posting Serious Business information? It's absolutely worthless now. It's like they said, "Well, we got rid of LHUCKS, our work is done" and fired the entire moderation team.

"Turn the tool factor way down"

"Maybe this isn't the place for you to post. I'm sure you'll find another board that suits you. Have a nice season"

A bit heavy handed, but the tool factor was way lower. Its amazing some of the things that used be an automatic time out don't raise an eyebrow now.

Oh man, you can practically post porn here, and there is no one around to give a damn. Something is up with this place. Whatever it is, it's bound to make Joe money and make this place more worthless. I used to come here for good discussion/analysis/debate. Now it's just a cess pool of worthless blather and WDIS threads.

They moved the money from the Shark Pool to the subscriber content. Everything you need is there. No debates, no questions, just cold hard fact number crunching by the guys you pay $30 each year. Pretty soon there will be no forums to ask WDIS.

It's called beer muscles. #### happens when people get drunk. It's not that unusual.
Leave it to an Eagle fan to try to rationalize this. No need for this at the stadium, take it to the parking lot, might be kids around.
I'm not trying to justify anything. Just telling you how it is. But I agree kids are around take it outside. Alcohol makes people do things they normally wouldn't do. That's common sense.
So if kids aren't around, then its ok?

I had season tickets for 11 years. Took the whole family and never had/saw any problems. Tailgated and had a blast. Most trouble was way up in the cheap seats and pretty rare.

Iggles fans have proven to be among the most classless in all of pro sports over the years. I think the lack of Lombardi trophys makes em edgy.....

Well, I won't argue that their business model has been to grind writers into manufacturing uninspiring subscriber content with the sole intent on letting everyone know they have written more articles than the New York Times. But, since when was there money in the shark pool?

Anyway, it seems Joe has concluded now that it really doesn't matter the integrity of the SP to justify to newbies the worthiness of buying a subscription. Once was a day the SP was a representation of his vision of what FBG was and the SP reflected positively or poorly n the franchise as a whole. Thus, we saw a lot of Joe getting all hysterical if you so much as hiccuped. Staff writers were regular posters. This place had value, even if it was a bit on the rigid end of things. But, nowadays, the about face has turned this into more like Hamsterdam from S3 of The Wire.

This obviously was a troll driven thread topic. Yeah I get it, we booed a drunk Santa Claus acting like an ###. Our fans are one step above brainless barbarians. We have no Super Bowls. DO NOT CARE!

This are all pretty harmless "fights" comparing to what you see in europeans soccer stadions every weekend all year long. Mostly guys holding each other while screaming. The fact that opposing fans can sit wearing colors anywhere in the stadion without waking up in a hospital the next day is unbelievable. No need to dramatize this, it's not really a problem in the NFL and in the USA in general.

Troll driven? I take offense to that considering your post is very troll like in itself. To be honest though you kind of sum up the opinion many including myself have of Philly fans in one sentence however. I assume you are a Philly fan based off of your user name. Thank you for that. One bad apple you toss it out, bad batch however you have to avoid it. Philly fans are just a bad batch.

Don't forget Philly fans also cheered Michael Irvins injury as he left the field and there is always this - http://youtu.be/FKz-LIsKU-I

Looks like this was fun for the people at the game as they enjoy getting pelted with snowballs.

You guys realize that in Seattle they have undercover Seattle fans to prevent the constant harassment of visiting team fans. Also wasn't someone killed last year during A preseason game in the parking lot in San Fran? Michael Irvin? You mean the guy who tore up the eagles for 10 years and practically single handed was responsible for many eagles losses? They were happy he was out of the game and that Dion Sanders was done running around the field in "prayer" looking like an idiot. Did anyone mention the standing ovation they gave Malcolm Floyd last week when he was carted off? This happens in every stadium. Just the media loves it when it's philadelphia.

How do you feel about Browns fans cheering Tim Couch when he was knocked unconscious? Or Jets fans cheering their own injured Chad Pennington? Why doesn't anyone ever bring up those incidents?

Here ya go, False Start. More for you to get outraged at. Bring this one up next time too.

When Jets quarterback Chad Pennington went down with what was a terribly scary ankle injury, a chorus of cheers spilled down from the stands. It was thousands of Jets fans. Maybe tens of thousands. They were cheering Pennington getting injured.

Irony, Eagles fans only ones defending themselves and they have to do it by showing how much worse other teams are and trying to justify it by saying it happens everywhere or this is what happens when you consume alcohol. At the end of the day no other team has the historic reputation for booing a guy who brings cheer to kids for crying out loud.

Eagles fans have such a bad rep the side story this past Thursday was would they boo Andy or would they boo McNabb as his jersey got retired. You can defend the Eagle fans and yourself all you like, but the fans reputation is horrible in Philly. I'm not breaking any news here or am not attempting to, just pointing out that the reputation is well deserved.

What kind of grown ### man goes to a football game and fights? What kind of grown ### man harasses fans of the visiting team? Doesn't that stuff get old once you turn 16 or maybe by 18?

If most knew what they were talking about this could all be true. The sad part is it's the made up story that has become imprinted in your little mind. The Santa was drunk and a bad Santa. He deserved what he got.But keep latching on to something you read one day because it creates a cool little thought in your head.

Not defending at all. Its all horrible fan behavior. Problem I have is the multiple incidents with the Browns and the horrendous Jets fan behavior never gets mentioned. Never. But you'll ALWAYS hear how Philly fans cheered Irvins injury or how a handful of Ricky Williams fans booed McNabb. Poor McNabb, booed at the draft - Browns fans cheer their injured QB. Which one is always in the media?

Jets-Giants, this year. I missed this thread. People are slipping. Freakin' animals, fighting women at a pre-season game.

How well known is it that Jets games used have increased security (over Giants home games) because women were getting assaulted in the stairways? Missed that story on SportsCenter.

Stabbings at Jets game leads to alcohol banning

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Fears of rowdy fans during the holiday season have led officials to ban alcohol sales at next Monday night's game between the New York Jets and the New England Patriots at Giants Stadium.

Jets spokesman Ron Colangelo said the ban was put in place to protect fans.

"It's for the safety of our fans, so that they can have a comfortable environment at a time when the holiday season can get very festive," Colangelo told The Record of Bergen County for Tuesday's newspapers.

The ban comes after a sometimes violent Nov. 27 Jets-Saints game in which police made nine arrests. In one altercation during the second half, two fans were stabbed outside a men's room. In another incident, a state trooper broke his leg while trying to eject a fan who reportedly threw a beer bottle.

Freakin' animals. Even injured a State Trooper.
