Where did the Remo Williams reference come from? Did one of the writers work on it 27 years ago?

I too thought the episode went downhill once he entered the Kia dealership. It turned into a Will Ferrell tribute after that.

exactly

I just watched the first two episodes and am surprised at a lot of the comments. I thought they were hilarious.

I don't understand how you can watch this show and not like Stevie. It's like watching Seinfeld and not liking George, or Cheers and not liking Cliff and Norm. If a main character annoyed me that much I would just stop watching that show.

Stevie wasn't featured as a main in Season 1 (by far the best season) and always seemed to be one of the many supporting characters. I prefer KPs bar owner side kick over Stevie by a mile. They should bring that guy back.

Totally agree. The first episode may be my favorite of the series, and this past one, while not as funny as the season opener, was still damn funny.

yes indeed. best episode of the season by far

KP was back in his original form

everytime i see myrtle beach i wish i was there though - kinda like his girlfriend she looks like a extra they just picked up off the street

So episode three is a good one? Lots of people on another forum didn't like it.

I'm watching it regardless, but that's good to hear.

Kenny with the trident was cracking me up, especially when he drove off and then came back with it :lmao:
I'm going to have to watch it again....lots of good schtick in this episode. I love when he was in the bullpen and simulated taking a dump...that's priceless

[stevie] I win! [/stevie] :lmao: :lmao:
I almost crapped my pants twice during last night's episode. Kenny bringing Shane's twin brother up to the dorm room to surprise the college girlfriends was priceless. Stevie was great last night... too much good schtick to count. "The next thing they do, we have to do..." was a pretty good scene.

It's got a rocky 4 flavor to it with creed/Shane dying and Kenny p taking on the Russian.

Kenny's such a dinosaur referencing lance mountain and steve csllabaro, love it!

This show is awful. Season one: brilliant. Seasons two and three: terrible.
I'd agree with your synopsis of Season 1 - easily the finest of the series. Season 2 and 3 have been decent but nowhere near the level of Season 1.
When this show was about Kenny, it was funny. But as the comedy gets broader and bigger, it loses the essence of what made it so funny.
That's why the Brits have a better model than us w/r/t comedies. Get an idea, mine the gold for a season or two and get out. Inevitably the writers get further away from the original idea.

Yep. Unfortunately, it seems the majority of FBGs prefer a show revolving around Stevie

Stevie is awful. He's like that idiot page on 30 Rock.

Isn't there an Upstairs/Downstairs Blu-Ray somewhere with your name on it, Alastair?

At Shane’s funeral, the increasingly adultery-obsessed Stevie spies Shane’s sister looking raw and desperate and half-mad with grief and takes advantage of her vulnerable state by ####### her in what remarkably only qualifies as the episode’s second-most disturbing sex scene involving Stevie.
:lmao:

"Shane and I loved the movie Top Gun. We used to joke about, who was Goose and who was Tom Cruise? Well, now that Shane is dead, I guess we know who was Goose. Shane was Goose. Because in that motion picture, Goose dies, and Shane is dead, so that makes him Goose. And me? Tom Cruise. I'm Tom Cruise, guys."

:lmao: :lmao:I'm loving Season 3

HFS, that was clearly the funniest episode yet; and probably one of the funniest episodes of any show I've ever seen.

So many hilarious moments:

[*]Goose/Cruise lines

[*]Far Behind/Alive

[*]Bringing the twin to the dorm

[*]The pictures as the wake

:lmao: How about Kenny giving Shane's parents the go-ahead to approach "the cadaver"...

Yeah I don't get the hate, this past episode was possibly the funniest one I have seen, watched it twice it was so great. Loved the random part where Kenny grabs Stevies phone and slams it into ground for no reason

"Okay. Well now neither one of us has a phone, Kenny."
