East Bound and Down (1 Viewer)

I thought it was only meant to be 3 seasons. They must be flashing a lot of cash at Danny McBride.
I also thought it was the perfect ending. Now we're probably going to get the 'happily ever after' ending.
Honestly, I hated the ending. He walks off the mound? Come on. Then fakes his own death? Although I guess when you think about how much of a megalomaniac he is, it makes sense that he thought the only way out of the spotlight would be death. And I did like how April kind of calls him out saying they could have moved to Texas. This season could be great though with him on the road and what not. But the key to Kenny Powers has always been the insecurity and depression. What would be the cause of that now, if he was in the majors?

they need to ditch the kid and Stevie
Love Powers, but this show runs at 60% without Stevie.
So you liked the second episode better than the first?
Oh no, not saying that. First episode was gold. We geisha Stevie was probably the worst episode of him yet. That whole scene was ####ed. Was the whole point of that to bring a wrap around joke back from season one about his "young son Gabriel"? It was kind of almost worth it for that. Like RN said, someone was on acid for that to get so goofy. But as a whole, Stevie is gold. Season 2 wouldn't have been the same without him in Mexico. That guy is so good at acting like "that" its crazy.
One of the funniest things I've ever seen in a TV show was in season 1 when they were at that backyard cookout. Kenny was pissed that Stevie was wearing the same shirt as him. Then we see Stevie come out of the house to make an announcement, and he is shirtless. :lmao:
:goodposting: The Stevie hate is insanity. I missed the boat on this series, and just watched the whole thing over the past week, and it is glaringly obvious that the show wouldn't be half as good if Stevie wasn't in it. Him and the little guy from Mexico were some of the best supporting actors on TV that i can remember

When Stevie's Mexican wife got topless, I lost it.
:lmao: that's what cracked me up about the show, so many random moments of funniness. I like when Aaronn (the little Mexican guy) was watching the baseball game with Kenny and Hector and he starts the fight with the guy sitting in front of them.

I am so happy this show is back, but I gotta say, the first episode took too long to get the old Kenny back! Wanted to see him break out of his midlife crisis way sooner, but looks like the remaining episodes will have our Kenny back to the good old days.

Best line from episode for me:

"April, I'm gonna stay out here in silent protest, but perhaps you can grab me some of those chilly sliders, that would be very baller."

Great episode last night. God this show is brilliant when the plot is somewhat realistic. When it becomes a cartoon it can get really dumb but episodes like last night are gold. No character on TV today can make me laugh out loud like Kenny and Stevie can do when they are conversing with each other. I actually am digging Kenny and April's relationship, never thought I would say that. Sad that this is the end of this show this year, the short seasons for this show makes me wish it would go on for a bunch of more season.

Somewhat realistic?! I don't think it's ever been somewhat realistic, and last night was no exception.

yeah I didn't mean realistic realistic, just sometimes it's almost a cartoon like the Will Ferrell episodes. Either way, I'm loving the direction this season is going.

Every conversation Kenny has with anyone is pretty much a cartoon, especially with his now-wife.

Loved this episode, 2nd best of this season. "Why cant I get aids!" "The only way I'll be happy is if everyone of these kids gets AIDS"

It's not even the awesome lines that Kenny says that get me rolling, it's the way he pronounces the words that are so unique. For instance when he says the words "motion picture" in episodes past, those words alone have me chuckling

This season's been the most consistently funny since season one for me. Kenny and Stevie's charity presentation to the kids at the playground was awesome.

I was dying. Fantastic scene.
:lmao:

"AIDS is harder to get than you think, every celebrity with a butthole wants AIDS. But this isn't the 1980s, you can't just sit on a toilet seat and get AIDS."

"Only thing that would make me happy is if all these kids had AIDS." :lmao:
