Edge (1 Viewer)

opinions on which Edge VS seattle, HE WAS A MONSTER AGAINST THEM first matchup this year. Do we get to see him again? Some players just respond well to certain matchups.
He's on my pine in favor of Fred Taylor this week. My reasoning is that Seattle should jump out to a lead, thus forcing Arizona to pass more. Edge is not the pass-catching back. Also, I just don't see him running on the Seahwaks in Seattle. And, of course, he will continue to be allergic to the end zone as usual. I see no upside in this matchup. If he gets 80 total yards, that's a good day.

All the talk about Arizona picking a RB in the first 2 rounds didn't come to fruition.

Looks like Edge will be the man again in 2008.

He's coming off a solid 2007 season, could be a nice "buy low"

for someone looking to make a championship run.

very happy as a James owner they passed on a RB today. James will be a solid #2 or flex play this year, just like last year

Agreed.I only have him in one league as a RB 3,but I couldn't give him away, every time I made an offer, the general reaction was, "the Cards are going to draft hissuccessor in the 1st round. No one wanted him.I'll gladly use him as a RB3 this year.

I'm an Edge owner as well, and also a Cardinal fan, but don't forget that Jamaal Charles (heard they like him) and Kevin Smith are both still out there for the 3rd round. Not trying to be a buzz kill, but just throwin it out there.

you're killin' my buzz. I agree, but the remaining RBs are to be brought up through the system, not studs who will start on day one. I do understand and agree with your statement, though.

Yeah but the coaching staff never said they were lookin to replace him. They just said they wanted to add a big play guy with the break away speed, ie Jamaal Charles. We'll see, as a cardinal fan, I would love adding a big play guy like that, but as a Edge owner, I'm not too high on it.

For some reason, when I think of Charles, JJ Arrington comes to mind. But I know that Charles is a little bit bigger. But we wasted that second rounder on JJ a few years ago, and hope that Charles wont flake out like JJ ( if we take him)

Edge won't be replaced by anyone in 2008. Lose more snaps sure. There definitely needs to be a COP guy there (Charles perhaps?). Zero shot of losing the job however in 2008.

After this year, anything is possible. Edge owners got another extra year's worth of production and have to be pretty happy.
