Holy crap. Am I the only guy that voted for egg whites?

I'm not even a healthy guy. I just hate yolks. Unless you can dip your toast in them. Then they're okay.

yolks >>>>>>> whites
Tasteless, runny sop. In hard-boiled eggs, mouth-drying, withered embryos.

Had a distaste for them since I was young.

I will eat fried eggs with yolks if I'm hungover. And prefer it. But if I'm hard-pressed, I'd rather just have the whites.

A egg white fan saying yolks are tasteless and runny?!

Really now?
Whites crisp up and are great with pepper and salt. Yolks stay kind of gross. Milky, spoogy, and tasteless. Irredeemable.

I'm a one percenter. :bag:

If you can find fresh eggs, you will be amazed at the taste of the yolk.
I have had fresh eggs, and the yolk is better. This is true. I still can't change my vote, all things considered.

I've never made an omelette in cast iron. A non stick egg pan on a gas stove takes less than a minute to heat up. Cast iron has its place, but IMO I'm not taking the time to heat up cast iron for something that cooks in 3-4 minutes.

I can make an amazing omelette with ham, veggies and cheese in 7 minute tops including prep and it will be beautiful as it is tasty. But Ive also worked as a cook and used to make omlettes to order on breakfast buffets...so I'm pretty good at it.

And who buys precut veggies?
crazy people.I didn't realize how atrocious my knife skills were until I started cooking at home. Worked at restaurants for years, but never did much prep. Rarely used knives, it shows. Necessary for a good omelet though.

This got me to thinking, what would scrambled yolks (with a splash of cream or milk) taste like? I have to find out, I wonder if my dog will go full McGruff on me when I try to pawn off four or five egg whites on her.

Multiple egg yolks in cream makes a custard. Custard is usually done in a double broiler to avoid direct heat so the yolks don't "scramble". Many custard recipes suggest using a fine mesh strainer to eliminate solids (scrambled yolks).

Those would some fine eggs, but I would whisk the living crap outta them to add air and lift.

I honestly only cook scrambies because for the longest time I wouldnt eat eggs (seemed gross as a kid), and thats like all I know how to cook. So I guess Id order the fluffy scrambies - although they never turn out fluffy when I make them.

What am I missing with over easy/medium and how do I cook them that way?
