Different sized feet people (1 Viewer)

Roughly two years ago I started experiencing shoe discomfort with my right foot. I tried different shoes and even went up a half size and nothing totally solved my issue. I'd describe it as my toe box on my right foot is now wider and maybe longer. After looking it up...

Having different-sized feet is common and normal, with about 60% of the population experiencing this condition. Some individuals may have one foot that is up to 3 inches larger than the other. Factors contributing to this discrepancy can include genetics, age, and physical activity.

I was reading some companies will let you purchase mis-matched sizes. Anyone know which ones do and how to go about ordering them that way? The option of just sizing up to the bigger foot works for casual and work footwear, but a gym shoe with too much extra room is horrible for fitness related activity.

What are you other freaks doing about your different sized feet?

Just seeing this thread as it popped up as a "similar thread".

I had my feet evaluated at Fleet Fret when getting running shoes. They have a scanner that does an analysis and they send you the imaging.

My right foot is slightly wider and shorter than my left foot. I was mercilessly body shamed for this in the 10k thread for my hideous deformation :kicksrock:

I tried all sorts of things like heel cushions on my right shoe but not my left, insoles, and other "fixes"...even exploring different sized shoes.

What I've ultimately done is lacing my right shoe (shorter / fatter foot) all the way to the top hole and my left shoe I lace up one less rung. This works well for races where i need a similar feel and tightness on both feet. For every day walking, I don't do anything different, maybe a slightly tighter tie on the right shoe.
