He's on paid leave for at least thru 8/31. Two players, same team, same season I think gambling is too easy. One shouldn't be able to gamble on an individual pitch. That is ridiculous. There goes their bargining chip for the trade deadline. I wonder how they are catching these guys and how far does it go.

I was stashing Cade Smith in case Clase was traded, but I didn't see this coming. Fire up your Cade Smith in fantasy.

Yes, he blew the save, but is still a good pickup IMO. Smith has proven to be a very good pitcher since entering the league last year. It would be foolish to let that blown save sway anyone away from Smith.

I wonder how they are catching these guys

I read that there is an actual stat called "Non-Competitive Pitch". I had never heard of it before.

It means simply, a really awful pitch--bouncing in front of the plate/beyond the outstretched arms of the catcher/over the batters head. They track it, and from what I understand, the two Cleveland pitchers had a way disproportionate "Non-Competitive Pitch" to the first batter of an inning, which is when the bet would be placed.
