12 team keep 5 (at least 2 pitchers) league third year...

We start:

C,1B,2B,3B,SS,MI,CI,OF,OF,OF,UTIL

SP,SP,SP,RP,RP,P,P,P

HTH, R,2B,HR,RBI,SB,BB,AVG W,L,SV,K,ERA,WHIP,K/BB

Keepers:

1 Albert Pujols

2 David Wright

3 Prince Fielder

4 Roy Oswalt

5 Marino Rivera

Draftees:

6 Troy Tulowitzki (plays in DEN, and i like having a good SS)

7 Bobby Abreu (great lineup, still gets steals)

8 Brian McCann (I coupled him with J Salty, hoping Salty has a great second half and can trade McCann at the break for help where i need it)

9 Jeff Francouer (Braves fan, but i think he is in for a big year)

10 Francisco Liriano (high risk, high reward thats how you win)

11 Trevor Hoffman (I now have the two old reliable closers, Rivera and Hoffman)

12 John Maine (good young pitcher on good team)

13 Placido Polanco (had him last year and he did quite well, avg should drop off a bit, but still be +.300)

14 Juan Pierre (early in retrospect, but i can use him and ankiel for power (hopefuly) and speed when needed)

15 Jarrod Salty (McCann will be trade bait if he turns it on)

16 Jeff Kent (great numbers for draft position)

17 Evan Longoria (I have the offense to be able to sit him on the bench, and can possible keep/package trade him for my next years keepers)

18 Eric Gagne (should do well in Brew town)

19 Rick Ankiel (who knows, but i like the story)

20 Connor Jackson (could hit clean up in Az)

21 Jay Brue (pure upside pick)

22 Ryan Freel (got disconnected and this was the auto pick, waiver wire order for Jose Guillen pending)

23 Greg Maddux (needed another SP)

24 Scott Baker (needed another SP)

What do you guys think?

TIA

gagne is gonna be bad, watch out. id try to see if you can get sherrill on the cheap...
why do you say that, i will def look into getting sherrill, but why so down on Gagne? If he puts up the same #s he did last year i would be happy, becuase i would think his save number would go up in Mil? No?

yeah he will gets saves. its just that i dont trust him when hes on the juice. he pretty much fell apart in boston last year.

Yea, his heater went from average to dominant rather quickly, which coincided right about with when his numbers were elite and when he was linked to the stuff. Now he's off the juice, oft-injured, losing some zip on his heater, and coming off his worst 3 months ever. I don't think he's worth the risk, but you got him rather cheap which leads me to believe others don't value him either. I'd hope for a solid start and then deal him off to someone who is struggling to find saves in exchange for some wheels, you need them.I'd drop Salty, he's more name than anything else (his numbers are replacement level in a league like this) and last I heard he is 90% to strat the season in AAA. I'd add a high K rate middle reliever with closer potential in his spot.Overall, quality team. This team could withstand Pujols blowing out his elbow midseason and still compete.

Thanks for the advice,I am currently trying to trade Pujols, I offered Pujols, Polanco, J Bruce for M Tiexeria and R Cano. We will see what he counters with. I think I need to upgrade my SP staff a bit to be able to compete for a title.
