Eric Byrnes (1 Viewer)

The Ref

Footballguy
2003 in his first real "whole" year he went 12/10 in ~400 AB.

2004 he went 20/17 in ~570AB - this is for a team that plays in a huge ballpark and hates to SB.

2005 spent time on three different teams - real bad year overall but finds a home in Zona.

2006 Gets ~570 AB in Zona and has a comparable year to 2004 going 26/25.

2007 Playing for a contact is allready has 1/2 in three games.

This is the type of player that wins you a fantasy tittle. 50-60 total SB+HR is not out of the quesiton.

I know you're not supposed to buy into career years, but Byrnes has been sort of a role player for a while now and finally came into his own as a starter last season. He can help you in just about every category. I have him on one of my teams, and while I don't expect huge things, I do think he'll have a fine season.

Love the steals. Anyone with a shred of power who can swipe bags is worth a lot.

From Rotoworld

Eric Byrnes drove in all three Diamondback runs on Friday when he homered off Rockies starter Josh Fogg.

Byrnes is off to an excellent start, batting .312 with three homers, 10 RBI, and four steals in 11 games. We woudln't expect Byrnes to improve on last year's fine totals, but he's very capable of repeating them.

Byrnes was my "sleeper" OFer this season and got him in every league I'm in..........this is a contract year for him.

I'm very, very happy to have him as my 3rd or 4th OFer...... :bag:

His improved plate discipline this year has really paid off for him He should do well for himself as a FA this year.

113 games .303 17HR 28SB

Just got himself $10M a year.

Looking like the power will be down, but the overall package has been as good as I figured it might be this year.
