Ethical Question? (1 Viewer)

Long story short, found out the manager in a league I'm in owns and is running 2 teams. He's been trading all the studs to the contender. He's been selling players to other owners for cash. Me and another owner have been kicking around the idea of making a for sure championship team. It would include Brady,Forte, Foster, Welker, Nicks, Whitten, Sproles, and so fourth. My question is, is turnabout fairplay? Would you do this? Or would you just wash your hands of this league?

Take the high road and exit the league doing the right thing - which of course would be to let everyone in the league know what happened

2 wrongs don't make a right. The problem is with the cheater, not with you (yet). Don't stoop. Remove the problem.

Only do it if the WHOLE LEAGUE would do it. Just to piss him off.

Get a super team together from the remaining teams, beat his cheating ### into the ground, refund all the other owners their money (basically split the winnings). Hopefully everyone else but this tool will come away even, or a bit behind or ahead.

If you and 1 other owner go and do the same thing, you will lose the cheater (good riddance) AND the remaining owners and need to start a whole new league. This way, you keep all the good owners, piss off the cheater who will leave on his own, and only have a few new owners to find.

Please do this. Post the team you all come up with. I'd love to see 8 or 10 teams' dream team against his 2.

ETA: is the cheater the commish? Does he handle the money? Man, I hope not.

Sold Mccoy to another owner for 30 bucks. The owner who bought him is new to ff and apparently didn't know this was illegal. And yes, this turd of turds is holding the money. Its sad, I knew this guy from work for like 6 months and seemed like a good guy.I didn't join another league I was planning becuase his sounded better at the time. O well, lesson learned.I have a couple more days to make my decision because the trade deadline is next week. Thank you all for your responses, its much appreciated.

:goodposting: The only way you can do this if the rest of the league is on board and you refund everyone their entry fees.

I got a bit tired just reading this. Just take your evidence to the rest of the league and let the chips fall where they may.

I would let the rest of the league know ASAP and go from there. Hopefully this is not a big money league.Good Luck

I wouldn't build a competing dream team. Being up the situation to the league. If they decide to ban him from post-season then just play normally. If they let it slide then no need to be in the league again.

good answer - yes, bring it up to the league.

If they let it slide, it's obvious that collusion is permissible in the league - that is your license to recruit 3-4 owners in building an unbeatable team for the playoff run. go after the teams least likely to make the playoffs - they will have the motivation - trade all of the best players to the highest seeded team and let the best team win.

Why? If he's willing to do the other cheating for money, what makes you think they would see any payout even if they out-cheat him.

Just try to get your money back and then walk away. Better ways to spend your time.

Here are the three things you should do: Go punch him in the face; demand your money back; quit league.

Either just quit, or blow your leaves into his yard.
