Evan Longoria (1 Viewer)

drafted him at 2.13, partially due to finless's declaration that he'd take him late 2nd. gives me a nice corner infield tandem with pujols. very pleased thus far.

i read it a couple weeks ago. in this forum somewhere. i'm still thankful for getting tuned into nate mclouth last year. whether or not the eva longoria "i'd take him late 2nd with no worries" comment was typical finless shtick or not, it made sense to me.

shtick? SHTICK!?!?! I took him in the 2nd round. My :hey: was aimed at Sammy. I think he was taking a shot at me. I guess you could have waited until the 35th round to get the same production out of Reynolds.

Went to both games at Yankee Stadium. This guy is as good as advertised. I was really impressed with his defense though. I knew he could mash, but he's already an elite defensive player also.

There's not a bigger bargain in baseball than Evan Longoria. If I was starting a franchise, he'd be the one I'd choose to build around.

One over the monster and another a foot short today...
Is it me or does he average about 3 RBI per game?
Lets not get crazy. He has 21 RBI in 9 games this year vs the Sox.
And that is a team who he is going to face more times than most in his career. Who cares who the stats come against? From the bottom numbers he owns the Boston and Baltimore Staff's who he will see 38 times a season. Mix in the fact that he seems to be ready to kill the Yankees this year and beyond and now you got a guy who can rake big time within his division, which imo, is huge..316 6/25 - BOS.269 3/8 - NYY.314 6/13 - BAL.259 2/12 - TORNow if he can just figure out those pesky 'Jays

Since we're narrowing it down to this year.....

White Sox 6

Devil Rays 2

I love playing internet vs idiots.
Pretty sure he was posting Evan's stats vs. the Red Sox, stupid.
THANKS CAPPY!!!!
No problem. Stupid babies need the most attention.
Stupid babies? If anyone is infant-like around here, it's you. Now why don't you go cry to Finless about fishing in "your" threads?

 Also pointing out that the Rays are 4-6 vs the A's this season really would've driven the stake in.
Not sure why the stats against the RED Sox came into the conversation in the first place. It might have something to do with a complex about a team that's actually won a World Series or two.I bumped the thread, I'm a White Sox fan, and the last person you addressed was me. So excuse me for thinking that you were talking about the White Sox.

I know you can't tell tone from posts, but all I did was poke you about not mentioning the 2nd Longoria HR. And if you scroll up to the post directly above yours...you'll see we had a Longoria vs Red Sox conversation already going.

Why would anybody be talking about the White Sox? :banned:a) The Rays are in the same division as the Red Soxb) The Rays and Red Sox are games apart in the Wild-Cardc) The Rays and Red Sox built up an interesting little rivarly over the past year and a half that culminated in an intense ALCSd) Nobody gives two ####s about the sucky White SoxNow try to get 5 games over .500 so you can get smoked in the LDS again. Or, going back to being a Cubs fan.

Gordon Beckham laughs at Evan Longoria, so does President Obama, and the city of Chicago scoffs at Tampa just for kicks. Chicago will see an AL-East team in the playoffs, just don't think it will be the Rays for a very long time thanks to the two teams that will always buy their way into the playoffs, and I really hope I'm wrong. :lmao: :lmao:
