everybody is Talking About Donald brown (1 Viewer)

Sir Chadwick said:
Colts RB Donald Brown (hamstring) expects to play Monday night against the Texans."If the game were today, I'd play," Brown assured Friday morning. He expects to push his nagging right hamstring by returning to practice Friday afternoon, and the Colts will practice again Saturday. With Joseph Addai (shoulder) expected to be held out, Brown stands a good chance of starting and splitting the workload with Mike Hart.

Nice.

I would say that is pretty convincing evidence. Brown looked horrendous last night:

Hart:

12 carries for 84 yards and a 7.0 YPC

3 catches for 19 yards

Brown:

9 carries for 16 yards and a 1.8 YPC

2 catches for 13 yards

On the goal line it was Brown's series to be in, but he was yanked after the timeout for Hart, who almost, by will (or heart) along punched it in after getting wrapped up at the line.

Not sure if Brown was 100% though. He might've played hurt in order to not let Hart run away with the backup role. I don't know...

Hart was dropped in my league and I added him as a FA after dropping JStew (feels good).

I figured I'd at least keep him on my roster until we hear more about his MRI.

Brown looked bad out there and who knows when Addai will be back and in form.

If Hart can't go, I'll look to pick up K. Williams or K. Smith.

The Colts did not allow Mike Hart (ankle) or Anthony Gonzalez (knee) to meet with reporters on Wednesday.

They aren't going to practice, and Phillip B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star believes the development "casts doubt on their availability" for Week 9. Joseph Addai (shoulder) is not due back, so the Colts may have to roll with a banged-up Donald Brown as their primary ball carrier against the Eagles.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Though doubt may be cast, I wish they were forthcoming with some actual news on the MRI.

I guess we'll know more later on, like after the Philly game, about what his status will be for the Philly game.

I thought that Brown was banged up (hammy) as well which is why James finished the game.

Did Brown practice today?

Donald Brown was a full participant in Colts practice Wednesday

It appears Brown was pulled for ineffectiveness rather than an injury in favor of Javarris James late in Monday night's win over the Texans. Brown managed just 29 yards on 11 touches. Phillip B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star still expects him to start in Week 9 if Mike Hart (ankle) and Joseph Addai (shoulder) can't play. The Colts face the Eagles' No. 18 rush defense.
