Was it a bad game for Gore yesterday or a changing of the guard with C Hyde taking over? Certainly one game is not a trend but Gore has a lot of miles on him...

Just game plan from SF to avoid running against the Cards strong run D. A lot of empty backfield 5 wr sets or with the RB split out where there wasn't even a chance for a handoff. Doesn't say much about Hyde replacing Gore, though one thing to note however is that in the past 2 games where the niners needed a drive late Hyde was in instead of Gore. Neither of the drives went anywhere though so take that FWIW.

For some reason people are sleepwalking on the fact that the Cards have a strong, sound defense. They are hard to run on.
