FA WR Joe Jurevicius (1 Viewer)

I have a feeling Joe Jurevicius will be a hot commodity this offseason. A player than has the potential to have a monster impact in a variety of offenses, but can be had at a less than top dollar price.

Receiver Joe Jurevicius, another key Seattle player headed for free agency, has enlisted David Dunn as his agent. Dunn also represents quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. Jurevicius made the move after the NFL Players Association suspended his former agent, Neil Cornrich, for using NFLPA data while testifying in a court case.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Bears sign him if they can't get Antwaan Randle El.

Joe J has been a winner at most of his stops. Supposedly a real high quality guy also.

There's a disconnect going on with Joe J. Every team wants him because he's a quality WR...who they believe will be cost friendly. Yet, since the WR market is pretty thin that means the old supply and demand theory is going to jack his price up. Bottomline is Joe's probably not going to be a "bargain" by the time the ink is dry.

Shick, any clue about the agent? What's the prob with using NFLPA data in a court of law?

KC, Miami, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia - only a few of the teams that will look hard at signing Jurevicius.

He could be a quality #2 or #3 WR on the right team. He fit in VERY well with Seattle. As a Jurevicius owner in several leagues, it would be sad to see him leave there. I truly hopes he winds up with a good passing team. But in reality, I think a team like Atlanta needs to go for him. They need a good veteran badly...

he's just a #3 WR
But a better # 3 than Randle El who seems to be getting alot more publicity.
I don't think so.Randel El has his uses and is most likely a far better special teams player. JJ is pretty awesome in the red zone but I'd take Randel El's speed outside of there.

He was all but given the job with the G-men and didn't get it. The Bucs had big plans for him. He got another chance in Seattle when Koren was booted and they got rid of Pathon and all. Oh I agree with people that say he's a good person and all, from what I've read he really is. I just....I don't know he seems too simple as a WR, nothing all that special. When's the last time he came thru when a team planned on him?

I completely disagree , Randal El is no more then a kick returner. When it comes to WR , cmon the guy is worthless.

The only reason he played as second in Pittsburgh last year is besides Ward they less than zero talent in Steel town as WR.

Another thing , Jurevicious scored more TD's lasr year ( 10 ) then EL will score in is next 5 seasons.

We completely disagree on Randle El's worth. Randle El is a solid # 3, thats it. I think Jurevicious can be a solid # 2, his progression has been similar to Ed McCaffery. But lets compare the two in 2005:

Games Started

Randel El - 15

Jurevicious - 11

Receptions

Randle El - 35

Jurevicious - 55

Yards

Randle El - 558 (15.9 per)

Jurevicious - 694 (12.6 per)

Touchdowns

Randle El - 1

Jurevicious - 10

Randle El is a slot receiver, big time returner. Jurevicous is a guy who can be the # 2 and run the intermediate routes. Jurevicious is the more valuable player.

Still love this quote from JoePa while JJ was at Penn State:

"My problem with Joe is, he's got to go to class. He's a good kid. You've basically got to have a baseball bat and beat him on the head. I've tried to impress upon him that he has an obligation to the whole team."

Word was the Joey J failed out at PSU with a sub 1.0 GPA. Maybe there is hope for Vince Young in the NFL.
