If I had to guess they are going to cross their fingers and hope Ridder is the answer...Heinecke provides them a backup that can actually play in 2023 if Ridder doesn't cut it...I would not be surprised if they added a QB somewhere between rounds 2-4 as another lottery ticket...it will be interesting to see what happens if one of the big 4 QBs are there at their pick but on the surface it looks like they are planning for that not to happen as well as not planning to make a move to trade up.

Seems like they want to see what they have in Ridder, and wanted a backup good enough to start some games if they don't like what they find out about Ridder.

Great recipe for QB purgatory, imo. The are probably looking at 7-9 wins and taking themselves out of range for Williams or Maye.
