My personal favorite game to build the bankroll is the 50/50 game, basically you just need to finish in the top half of the field to double your money.

My favorite week 1 lineup is something like this...

Stafford (Rams at home)

McFadden (PPG machine at home)

Rice (PPG machine at home)

Harvin (Jags at home, 1/2 pt PPR)

Colston (Skins in the dome)

Marshall (Colts at home)

Graham (it was him or Gates)

Gostkowski

Texans (play Tannenhill and the hapless Dolphins at home)

My basic strategy is to guarantee good scoring at QB/RB/TE and pick value WRs/TEs based on matchups.

We'll see how it goes.

try to find a way for megatron in that lineup for stafford to throw those td's too. i always try to have a highend receiver for my QB to throw to if i am using a highend QB

that way when megatron scores, you get points for both the QB and WR

thought about this, but thought in the 50/50 game I didn't need to be that agressive and could play a more risk averse strategy by spreading out the teams. In a contest where you need to finish top 10% I would definitely use that strategy, but in the 50/50 game you only need to finish in the top half and I think you can pretty much guarantee that if you play your cards right. We shall see.I killed it last year betting on player props so we'll see how it goes with this site. Love the format.

Bovada has Percy Harvin's receiving yards total for this season at 900 yards, I like it as one of the best player props this season for sure. Just needs to avoid injury (case with any of these bets, taking the over you obviously run the injury risk).

yeah, that, and I do don't like having my cash tied up for the entire year.Harvin is a great PPR play, particularly with Peterson still not at 100 percent you'd have to think he's going to be very heavily involved.

I'm confused. If the top half of finishers double their money, that means that the bottom 50% of finishers basically donate their cash to the top 50%. So where is the house's "rake"... how do they make money on this?

I'm intrigued by the 50/50s and decided to give one a try. $2 1pm games only

FWIW ended up with:

Stafford - was going to go with Vick, but ended up with some extra cash so went with him for $600 more

Sproles - seemed like the best bang for the buck of the 1pm-ers

Kevin Smith - at only $5k it gave me a lot to play around with in other areas

Marshall

Harvin - agree on both as great plays this week

Welker - was going with Julio here, but had extra

Graham -gotta have either him or gronk

Gould - personally love him against Indy this week

Houston - best chance for a shutout this week IMO

I had $25 from the footballguys promotion.

I went with a similar roster in a 65k 50/50 but subbed in Andre Johnson and A. Hernandez.

Also joined a 5 team league with the same roster.

Just did a free roll on draft street

QB: Rodgers(9,900)

Rb: Turner(6,400), D. Williams(5,700)

WR: Julio(7,200), Harvin(6,600), Garçon(5,800)

TE: Gronk(7,600)

K: Akers(5,400)

D: Hou(5,300)

100$ leftover

I was looking for cheap RB's with good matchups. Shonn Green and Gerhart could make this lineup when I look it over.
