I had the same issues in 7th grade. Small world...
I've been called a ****. I've been asked "where's my tail?" by a group of friendly deep-southern kids, who were all genuinely curious, and then shocked to find out their parents had been lying to them. I've been told I killed Jesus, too. I'm half Jewish by culture from my fathers side, and my mom is Catholic. I was baptized as a baby.
When my mom brought my dad home, my uncles tried to run off my "Jew" father. They have since apologized to my dad profusely, and have long since learned to not be bigots, and to accept my heritage.
I have many, many more examples from my life from childhood straight through recently. I harbor no ill will for anyone, or any group of people that I've experienced these things from. Individuals can be stupid, but I do not stereotype against groups. I'm not trying to side with anyone, or lambaste anyone, just joining Skoo in pointing out anti-semitism is real, healthy and more prevalent than some seem to think.
