Hey everyone, because its never too early to start thinking about FBB... We have a few openings in our 12 team mixed AL/NL 5x5 roto keeper league. This league has been in existence for 4 years but I have been actively involved with and/or running FBB leagues for over 15 years.

We use Sportsline, entry fee is $180 but it’s a sliding payout scale so you will get money back at the end of the season (except if you finish in last place). 30 Man Rosters, We start 2 Catchers, 1 each of 1B/2B/SS/3B, 1 CI (1B or 3B), 1 MI (2B or SS), 5 OF, 1 UT (any position) and 10 pitchers. You get to keep 10 players off the roster you inherit.

I am interested - what is the draft format for your keeper league?

Draft order will be in reverse order of last season’s regular season finish. The draft will then continue in a serpentine fashion until completion.

Up to ten players to be kept for the season, eight from the Keeper List and two players from a Free Agent List. From the Keeper List you forfeit a draft pick based upon where the player was drafted last year and the Free Agents would cost a 15th round pick for the 1st player selected and a 10th round for the second player.

The nice twist in this league is that players from the first two rounds cannot be kept (so the really great players always go back into the draft the next year) and if a player has been selected as a keeper he may not be retained as a keeper the following season.
