I have a question.
This is the first year of my league, and there is some confusion about playoff bracketing.
It is a 10 team league. Week 14 the division winners got a bye and the top 4 other records (irregardless of division) battle it out for moving on (top record vs. worst, and then the other two). However, we messed up and the rules weren't clearly spelled out for Week 15. Meaning, it is unclear whether week 15 it is:
a) each division winner plays a winner of the week 14 games
b) top record vs. worst - and - the other two (irregardless of division and who won which division)
The reason it is not clear is that on this league.. one of the division winners happens to also have the worst record (one division was much crappier than the other - so all the wildcard teams came from one division). If we use method a, one of the wildcard teams will actually have an easier game than one of the division winners.
How are most brackets set up out there for similar situations?
Thanks.
