Fantasy Team Management Strategy? (1 Viewer)

I'm curious how others manage their fantasy teams (in a dynasty/keeper) when they have a limit on the number of players they can draft at a position.

Or, more directly, I have 6 WR in my dynasty league that are keep-worthy (Hopkins, AJ Brown, Keenan Allen, Marquise Brown, Julio, DJ Moore) BUT there may be a chance that the "best available" player where I draft may be Ja'Marr Chase.

My question is more about your philosophy of fantasy team management.  Is it "bad management" to eliminate yourself from a player of such a caliber that "may" fall to you or is it bad management to force a 2 for 1 trade JUST to accommodate a possibility in the draft?

If I am understanding the situation, why not just trade Marquise or Julio for a RB or TE of equal talent and have the WR slot open in case Chase is your BPA? You are likely to be pretty much void of WR talent in a couple of years if you don't get a lot younger. Chase would be about as solid a start to that changeover as you are likely to find available.

I think Chase and D. Smith will ultimately steely prove to be better assets than Brown. So to answer the question, you are better off losing Brown because it will be an upgrade.

My hope is that I don’t have a bunch of WR6 on my teams like Christian Kirk.  My fear for the 2021 draft is there could be a lot of these type of WRs for fantasy.
