Fargo TV series on FX - season 3 starts TONIGHT 4/19!!! (1 Viewer)

My GF went on a business trip and i promised her i would wait until she got back to watch the newest episode

I want to watch it so bad right now , but i would feel like i cheated on her somehow

I know how goofy that sounds

Love this season but HATED the writers having her climb in the well.
Sure, it lead to a great line, but still.

You have hundreds of places to hide on a farm, and a woman who has been smarter than all the entire season, yet decides to trap herself with dead bodies? :wall:

I didn't have a problem with it.

However, the shark tiger move would have been to hide under the bodies. But as you noted, we wouldn't have gotten the line.

I forget. Has this season had its frog rain/UFO/Purgatory bowling alley moment yet?

I agree that this season has transpired exactly as you would predict it to, which is unusual for this series.

It isn't that memorable as I don't rememer the line

Looked like they were shoveling something on top of the bodies (like Danish Graves) when they put them in there to make them decompose quicker. I don't think I'd be hiding under them.

Or at least not forget the gun

Anyone who`s ever buried dead bodies , like i have , knows thats lime they threw on the corpses

Now the tiger is free!

I didn’t totally get it - she hid there herself and was already free. Just a little weird but I promise I’m not nitpicking - I’ve loved the whole season.

Wasn't a big fan of the final episode except Tillmans pinishment.

No way that Trooper lets Tillman get close enough to kill him, and no way Tillman runs away, kills someone, gets caught and doesnt die after that gut shot

Agree. More so for the man's biscuit though.

I am making biscuits for dinner tonight.

Seeing Ole get put to work in the kitchen and looking at the soda bottle was hilarious. I liked how they put a bow on his story with a comedic and loving element but the finale was pretty meh in general. Seemed liked they rushed everything to tie up loose ends. Really disappointed with the battle between the Feds and the militia. That seemed like an afterthought.

Oh well, still love the show and this season overall. Hope they keep going.

Agree that the feds showdown was anti climactic. Thought the finale could've been better, overall. The kitchen scene with Ole was amusing. Love Jennifer Jason Leigh. She stole the show, imo.

And then Nadine's response to Munsch's rambling about his mom and life being a line and not a circle:

"Well, I don't know what that means."

:lmao:

Yes, echo no intent to nitpick, but…. She began on the run with a shotgun. She sets down the shotgun and climbs unarmed into in a well. That very gun eventually becomes aimed at her, but she is saved. The miracle leaves her right where she began. I really enjoyed the Dot character but quite a difference between the beginning escape artist/home alone booby trapper and the woman who’d leave herself utterly defenseless.

You serious, Clark? I liked the character but she's a terrible actress.
I won't debate JJL's acting ability, but her scene with Roy in the visiting area at the jail was my favorite one of the season.
Roy struts in with his swastika neck tattoo and tells her how jail is the way the world should be. By the end of their talk Roy realizes his life is going to be a living hell from now on.

Enjoyed the first 15 or so minutes of the finale.. Got weak for a bit until Mother in-law visited the prison, and I enjoyed the ending.

Yes, Moonk is a strange character, but that is what makes Fargo enjoyable IMO..

Sometimes the writers go WAY overboard to be different, but this year was a good weird.

Liked this season better than the last for sure.

Could have done without the Great Gatsby accent for JJL. The jail scene was ok to me, but not great.

Loved how Dot just replaced Ole’s reality with her own.

Think they did Witt dirty.

Just finished. I liked it.

Munch is a nice counter argument to Anton Chigurh. That character believed he didn't have the agency of choice.

Dot shows Munch that he does - and since he accepts that, he is redeemed.

It's no accident IMO that he shares a name with the artist of The Scream. Edvard Munch had this to say about his painting:

One evening I was walking along a path, the city was on one side and the fjord below. I felt tired and ill. I stopped and looked out over the fjord – the sun was setting, and the clouds turning blood red. I sensed a scream passing through nature; it seemed to me that I heard the scream. I painted this picture, painted the clouds as actual blood. The color shrieked. This became The Scream.
This angst and it's varying resolutions are a driving force behind all the Fargo stories.

According to the Fargo season 5 finale, Raiders owner Mark Davis is a 300-year old nihilistic Welsh entity who's been cursed to eat the sins of his ancestors for all eternity. The only way to break the cycle is to feed him homemade biscuits
With a bit of honey.

I like that.

Playing it straight though - Munch is taking communion. They give him "wine" and what essentially amounts to a communion wafer.
