Fave Foods/Dishes, and 1 Simple Step to ruin it. (1 Viewer)

Speaking of fruit on pork...

A few months ago I made an apple, fennel and balsamic marinated pork loin. It was fantastic if anyone would like my recipe.

Doesn't matter what it is, keep your fruit off of my main course.
No truer words have ever been spoken.

Fruit in salads :X (tomatoes aren't a fruit, I don't care what they say)

Dishes with raisins in them or dried cranberries in stuffing.

GTFO with that ####.

When they put a maraschino cherry on your ice cream or shake without asking.

Sure, you can just take it off, but usually by that time the juice from the damn thing has spread out, polluting all the good stuff.

Back to the buffalo wings. Blue cheese and only blue cheese.

Anyone that has their buffalo wings with ranch deserves a punch

Any establishment that offers ranch, and only ranch, deserves to have their business burned to the ground.

Pad Thai. When you ask for it Thai spicy and they overdo it. Just tastes like heat really. Turrible.
Um Thai spicy is probably as spicy as you could order it. Maybe ask for American spicy?

Fixed.
Yeah...I like a lot of heat, but Thai spicy to me means you can still actually taste the ingredients. A lot of times I will ask for the spice tray and add as much heat as I want, but sometimes I almost think someone is trying to teach me a lesson. I think there is a threshold for heat that's all.

soggy chicken wing skin :o :o :o

wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Grade A response. One of the few things I will 110% send back every damn time.

Your threshold may be different from a Thai person's. No harm in dialing it down to Gweilo spicy. To me, Thai spicy means make it as ####### hot as you can.

as hot as thai spicy is... NOTHING, and I mean nothing ruined my life as much as a dish named " Bangalore Pal" at Bansaree in Niagara.

It literally could be eaten out of the fridge and feel like it was 5000 degree molten lava.

I bled on the toilet next day. no joke. and I absolutely ADORE super spicy

Pasta with sauce.....when the pasta is overcooked and not al dente.

Concur with a non-runny yolk.
Add to that when the place does not properly drain the water from the spaghetti and it then makes the sauce watered down. Also ditto on the yolks.
Adding pasta water makes the sauce thicker. Maybe you notice when the restaurant doesn't do it.
If you add the water to tighten up the sauce...sure.

If you don't drain the pasta and its not mixed into the sauce...no, not at all.
