Ya know....I have never thought Law and Order is my favorite show, but I have watched it for at least 20 years, quite regularly. Even if I take a break, I will catch some reruns soon enough. Somehow I feel compelled to give that show and it's variants credit for being great if not my fave. Vincent D'Nofrio in CI is one of my fave characters ever.

Scrubs late at night is perfect nonsense for me

Walking dead is my fave but this isn't their best season at all. IMO it's been very one dimensional this year. It used to be each character had a storyline (or at least several) and time spent building up to a point was fine because the others had reached a climactic point. This year it's like everything is written for the group and many episodes are a "build up" to something. I like the eventful episodes when they reach that point but geesh this last week was more brady bunch than walking dead. Dinner party? Cmon. Want to show us them adjusting to civility...that's fine but for a whole episode?

I love Vikings, Black Sails is good.

SOA was awesome. Can't wait for the movie, although the women may drive me nuts with Brad Pitt as Jax's father. It's got a whole macho male vibe that 10k screaming girls just might wreck.

Justified has been better. I'm not sure about this final season. Love the show, hope it finishes strong.

Shameless is so twisted, it's fantastic entertainment

Prison Break and 24 are impossible to not binge watch. The big black guy that's an assassin in the final seasons (sorry I'm not good at names) is a star on one of my daughters shows-Hart of Dixie. He's this sweet lovable former NFL player that's the mayor of the town. The Friday Night Lights QB is on that show too. I do a double-take with the one guy being so sweet and with Street walking.

In December, I realized I put Friday Night Lights reruns on one TV while the Titans were on another. I guess subconsciously I wanted to see some decent football

Thinking of those shows that I want to still watch. Over the years there have been a bunch that don't hold up for me as well - All in the Family, Cosby, Cheers, Laugh-In, Batman, Newhart (both), Carol Burnett, SNL, Twilight Zone, Man from Uncle, Twin Peaks, Taxi ...more

Right now (i.e., still on the air):

Mad Men

Person of Interest

Arrow

The Flash

The Americans

Orphan Black

Black Sails

The Voice

Amazing Race

Survivor

S.H.I.E.L.D.

Lewis

Endeavour

Sherlock

Doctor Who

[no particular order there; I put the four British shows at the end for example]

Rough Top Ten All-Time (this is really hard; also not necessarily in order) and real rough indeed since I actually typed 11 shows:

Star Trek (TOS)

NYPD Blue

Angel

The X-Files

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager, we'll say a tie (both very up-and-down but great when at their best)

Mad Men

Boardwalk Empire

L.A. Law

24

Law and Order (original is the best but SVU/CI are and were also pretty good, SVU more so though I certainly have not seen them all)

Without a Trace

Tough to leave ER and several others off that Top Ten Eleven list, including The Mentalist, which was wildly uneven over its run but finished in near-astonishing perfection. Breaking Bad would just miss as well. I thought it was certainly very very good but I just didn't like it as much as some of my historic faves.
