yeah, I liked that when it came out...but they released so many turds through the 90s it was easy to miss. It's too bad Bloodflowers doesn't get much respect. Completely overlooked, even by Cure fans.
One I overlooked ... nice job.Evilgrin 72 said:"If Only Tonight We Could Sleep" is the best by far, IMO.
By the way, the deftones do an AMAZING cover of it, if you haven't seen it, check it out here :

I'm not a huge Cure fan, but like most of the other 80s/90s alt bands, they have a handful of songs I always loved. "If Only..." was my favorite by a long shot.Have you ever seen/heard the deftones cover? I'm a big deftones fan, but when I heard they were going to cover this song, I was like"If Only Tonight We Could Sleep" is the best by far, IMO.

None of their stuff was played on mainstream American radio until 1987 when Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me came out. Before then, their songs were only played on college radio stations.True Cure fans know the best stuff never really made it to the radio ...
Was going to post these 2 . . .Always loved "Jumping Someone Else's Train." Also dig "Killing An Arab." They have a large amount of good songs.
Hellfire Snail said:Cure has tons of great songs, but "Just Like Heaven" is one of the greatest pop songs ever created.
I think you're thinking of Depeche ModeOther: Personal Jesus
That's Depeche Mode. Or maybe you're kidding...Other: Personal Jesus
I always get those creepy, alternative, British 80's bands mixed-up. Which one went on to form Yaz? I love that "Only You" song. That's Depeche Mode. Or maybe you're kidding...Other: Personal Jesus
That was Vince Clarke who was in Depeche Mode early on.There are other connections between Depeche Mode and The Cure:- Perry Bamonte who was a Cure roadie since 1984 and then joined in 1992 (Robert kicked him out a couple yrs ago) went to secondary school with Vince Clarke.- Daryl Bamonte (Perry's brother) was a tour manager for both bands- The Cure's security guy (named Daryl also) was DM's security guy. Nice dude. Died of a heart attack a couple of yrs ago.I always get those creepy, alternative, British 80's bands mixed-up. Which one went on to form Yaz?
