9 years...2 playoff wins. Maybe he'll increase that total by 50% next year. Maybe.
;) Still the best QB in the NFC North...
So you're happy with 1 playoff win every 5 years? Really? I can't imagine that's the case. So he can still make plays and is fun to watch...great. There is no way an objective football fan can be happy with the results in the second half of Favre's career. Great, great, all-time great first half...very disappointing second half.
Yep, all Favre's fault that Sherman blew the pooch as a GM.
Not saying it's his fault.
Then why would you say Pack fans have to be disappointed in the second half of HIS career?
How do you want me to label the time since after the Super Bowl loss to the Broncos? Face it...most organizations are defined by their superstar. They get too much of the glory and too much of the blame. Favre is the face of the Packers. The last nine years are going to be labeled "the 2nd half of Favre's career". If you don't think 10 years from now that you'll be talking about the "Favre era"...you're nuts.
Haven't the Packers won more games than any other team in the span since the beginning of Favre's career til now?that's horrible apparently?

Not saying it's his fault. Just saying that the results haven't been good. Tough to dispute that. List all the reasons you want...it doesn't change the fact that the bottom line has been pretty bad.
So if it's not his fault than how is it his fault?Guys can still be great players and not win Super Bowls. or are you contending that guys like Dan Marino are disappointments?
If I were a Dolphins fan...I would be disappointed. Not disappointed in Marino himself, but disappointed in the results of his career. I mean, damn...you had a HOF QB playing at a very high level for 15 years or so and couldn't get a title?! That would suck. I'm applying the same logic here. The Packers have had a HOF QB playing at a very high level for 10 years or so and they can't win more than 2 playoff games? That would suck. Now...winning the Super Bowl erases some of that...but not all of it. I'd be disappointed. NOT IN FAVRE (don't turn it into that)...but disappointed in the results. Fun to watch, lots of good times...but lots of coulda, woulda, shoulda too.

Link to where I called it horrible? Link to where I bashed the first part of his career or his career overall? Oh, I didn't? I called it "all-time great".

Yeah, because it is Bret Favre and Brett Favre alone that accounts for the Packers playoff record. And you are calling yourself an 'objective football fan'? Please don't drink and post.
Please read post #90. You are trying to turn this into a 'YOU'RE A FAVRE BASHER!!!' thing instead of looking at it from a results point of view. Are you happy with how the last 10 years have gone?
lol, what's your point?

Hell yes I'm happy! Are you kidding me? Look at all the teams that have had nothing but misery trying to find a quarterback. Every Sunday, I get to cheer for Brett Favre. Give me a break. I have plenty of friends that are Viking, Lions, Bengals, ect fans that would trade places with me in a heartbeat. Brett Farve is one of the best to ever play the position. I should hope for the start of the Aaron rodgers era? Good God man.

That's why quite a few Packer fans were extremely happy when GM Sherman was fired.

Other than Manning, Brady or Romo who is better right now? Green Bay is 3-0 with no running game, Favre is carrying the offense on his shoulders. His arm is as good as ever, he can still avoid the rush, he is taking less chances now because he has a better defense which makes him a better QB. I could see him coming back next year if the Packers continue to improve. Just look at the laser he threw to Jennings for the win, he still has it.

every season there's a QB who is hot or coming off a good year and people say he's better than Favre. :jawdrop:guy is a legend in the game. top 5 QB of all time. greatest Packer to ever play the game.

Palmer is better right now, and there are a few others who clearly have more long-term value (McNabb for one example) Enjoy the run, though - right now GB has to be favored to win the division.
