Favre Traded to the Jets (2 Viewers)

Nope. I am a Packers fan not a blind homer.See the difference?
There are a few people here that can't grasp that simple concept.
Is or is not Ted Thompson considered part of the "Green Bay Packers" that you're rooting for while you're also rooting for Favre?
Again, why is it so hard to grasp this? A person can cheer on the Packers this year and hope Thompson's decision works out for the Packers while cheering on Favre with the Jets. It isn't rocket science, boys.

I agree it's theoretically possible, however I don't see a huge number of people who were critical of the team's handling of Favre actually doing this.

I know at this point you are ignoring the issue. But your statement was made in response to posts which were discussing a poster's hope that GB season ticket holders would wear Farve Jets jerseys to GB games. So, it's not quite as simple as you are making it out to be. Why can't they show their support for GB and Favre by wearing a Favre GB jersey to the game? How are they supporting GB by wearing another team's jersey to a game?

That's because you aren't a Packer fan and don't understand how many people will actually be able to do both. Of course there are those that want TT/Rodgers to fail and those that want Favre to fail but there is also a lot of fans that want to see TT/Rodgers do well and Favre do well.

I really could care less that jerseys people wear to games. If a Packer fan wants to wear a Favre Jets jersey to a game I'm not going to get bent out of shape because of it. They can support GB at those games by showing vocal support and cheering while wearing a Favre Jets jersey. Big deal if they want to do that. :goodposting:

You really don't know?

Drive the guy (who took the team from 4-12 to 13-3) out of town.
I think this may have just happened. We will know about Week 6 os so.
I continue to :D at the Favreites who can't see beyond 2008. Favre is the past for Green Bay, and that's true even if he could have won a few more games this year than Rodgers can.
How about this Tatum, if Rodgers EVER leads the the Packers to a record of more than 10 games won during the season, we will be wrong. But again, I was okay with the Packers moving on. Just not okay with how they did it. From day one, they should have given Favre and his agent permission to speak with any team not in the NFC North.

Actually, every fan I have seen or heard has adopted this position.I have not encountered any Packers fan who wanted Rodgers to fail just to prove TT wrong. You sir, are a hopeless and hapless troll on the issue that probably should just be ignored by all.

Does wearing another team's jersey to a game mean you are not a fan of the home team? For example, I grew up not 8 miles from where Tony Romo played in high school. If I wear his jersey to a Packers game against the Bears I am not a Packers fan?

Long-time Packer fan, grew up in Milwaukee and I am and will continue to be a huge Brett fan. I live in the Bay Area now and may attend both the 49er and Raider game here this season.

I will root for the Pack with the same vigor as before and now I'll root for Brett, although not necessarily the Jets (I'm indifferent). You can have that both ways.

As for TT, he's put the Packers in a VERY precarious position. 3 QBs, none with NFL starting experience and two of whom are rookies. If Rodgers goes down, goodbye Packers season and goodbye Ted, which would be just fine with me. If we're going down, I want Murphy and Thompson out and perhaps even McCarthy too. But if that happens, we're in for a 49ers-type free fall after much storied success.

Basically, the Packers are on a tightrope with no safety net.
And who would you replace them with. Oh, you haven't thought that far have you. Brilliant!

Why????? Who are you trying to get back at?
Why can't Packer fans support their team and support Brett Favre as a Jet?
Don't play dumb. If you wanted to support Favre you could do that in a Packer Jersey.I really like Tony Romo so why don't I wear his Jersey to all the Packer games this year. Why can't I support the Packers and Tony Romo as a Cowboy? HTH
That is a pathetic example! When did Tony Romo play 16 years for the Packers, win a Super Bowl, and earn 3 MVPs? What is it with you blind Packer supporters that you can't understand that it is possible to support the Packers and Brett Favre as a Jet?
I know some of his extended family. So why can't I wear his jersey?

He had 7000 people at practice today and they said he'll start next week's game. Should be interesting.

Of course you don't since you were enjoying all those Super Bowls the Packers won from 1968-1995 seasons while adding up all the Super Bowls that Dan Marino won.

Because he's trying to come up with a ridiculous analogy to defend an equally ridiculous argument.

Over at a Dolphins site I frequent, a few guys are apparently thinking of making themselves hybrid Taylor-Thomas #55 jerseys by cutting one of each in half and sewing them together. That's both a sign that Miami has essentially zero chance this year and the one acceptable context for being a fan of a team and wearing another team's jersey to the games.

Even worse, I'm afraid I might have the wrong jersey on.

And I want to compliment you on the convincing way you play the blind Favre fanboy. It's an Oscar-worthy performance.

That is exactly what I'd expect from a troll like yourself that isn't a Packer fan. I actually have the sense to know I can cheer for the Packers and Favre this year. Some of you can't grasp that.

I've been to several Raider games, including Packer games during which I wore Packer gear. Never had a problem. Even Raider fans have respect for the Packers, their fanbase and Favre. Double-standard? Perhaps. Now a Chiefs or Broncos jersey, no way.
