Favre (1 Viewer)

But each week, Ben has either outperformed or been equal to Favre, except for the last two. And in the last two, Ben had better or equal matchups on paper. You can also throw out last week for comparison has Brett played in a Dome, while Ben played in a swamp. Couldn't predict that one.So, no not silly at all, IMO. But you're point is taken, I've been expecting a few more of these games from Favre than we've seen.
Ummm...huh? Not sure your scoring system...but in mine (1 pt for 25 yards passing, 3 pt bonus for 300 yard game, 4 points per passing TD, 6 for rushing)Favre has outscored Big Ben 7 times. (week 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 11, 12).Ben got him in week 1 and if you count his 26 in week 7 against Favre's 5 points in week 6 (Pitt on a bye in 6, Favre on a bye in 7)...then Ben got him there...and in week 9...and by one point in week 10.Favre has been over 20 points 8 times this year...Ben 4 times.Twice Favre has been at 10 or fewer...Ben, 3 times.Favre has been far more consistent and been outscoring Big Ben.And while scoring systems might differ...not sure they are making up for some of the point differentials in Favre vs. Big Ben this year.

Division championship (and automatic playoff spot) was on the line. "Ironman" Favre goes down. Goodbye season. Thanks cheesehead!! Anyone else?
Did you thank him for getting you this far?
 Favre's performance last night probably cost me my season, then again I wouldn't have had a season without his performance just about every other week. And considering the draft position where most of us got him it's hard to complain much.

This is one reason I hate yahoo, I have the hardest time comparing fantasy stats between players. This is all I can tell you. Ben has outscored Favre on the season, and I remember looking at this once before a few weeks ago, cause I looked at it one day and wondered myself why I had Favre on my bench. Comparison showed Ben was the better weekly performer.QB scoring is:Passing Yards (50 yards per point)Passing Touchdowns (6)Interceptions (-2)No other bonuses for 300 yds, etc.And now I see why (and also why Favre is ahead in the ESPN league). Passing TDs are 6 points. Ben has 28 to Favre's 22. 4 points is probably far more common, so that's why it was working out that way in the yahoo league. Don't know if that's standard yahoo or this particular commish who set it up but, in any case, that's why I start Ben over Favre in that particular league.

I think Farve's backup didn't do that bad. I mean Farve had 2 interceptions. I still can't get over that end zone play with TO and the interception.

I took a negative at QB in my matchup that will decide the division title and a playoff spot in a 16 team dynasty. Then again, I stole him for Beck + my 08 2nd, so I cant complain.

Ahh...that will do it.In my scoring Favre is up almost 50 points on Ben for the year...though last night's 0 he got me will hurt.

I hate to see players hurt by I'm playing for a playoff spot this week and my opponent started Favre over Palmer at QB. As a football fan, Favre's injury sucks but as a fantasy owner playing against him, it sure helps a lot.
Your avatar could have fooled me. :goodposting:

I love Favre big time- got outbid for him this year -but he may have won my division/1st round bye for me last night as I'm dueling it out with his owner for the title in my $$ league... :excited:

In other related news, he may have cost me my the division title in my Fox league... :wall:

I started favre last night and it cost me the playoffs. I was in the 6th and final playoff spot and I am facing the 7th place team.

The frustrating thing is I have the second most total points in the league.

Favre (It was a good run this year)

Garcia (Filled in nicely)

Bulger (You were my Matt Hasselbeck this year)

12th in waiver priority

Trade Deadline gone.

Its going to be a quick exit from the playoffs.

Excuse me for my ignorance but I don't understand how his performance could have cost anyone anything until after Monday night's game.
For those who are in playoffs right now, our opponents are teams who usually perform consistently at all the positions. When a position like QB is a virtual zero for a playoff game, there is little hope.
Exactly, if I had been playing a slacker team it may not be crucial but I'm playing a solid team. Worse yet, that team has Tomlinson so you know I needed every point. Really though, this should go under a Venting thread.

Spent all day yesterday agonizing over who to start at QB - Favre or Warner (great matchup). Guess who I went with? For those who have him this pretty much guarantees that Warner will go absolutely nuts on Sunday.

Bye bye playoffs, hello :fishing:

It has been a great ride for Favre this year though, I hope he can get back on the field and maybe lead his team to the SB, it'd be a great story.

favre got me -1 pts and I lost by 1 pt to knock me down to 5th place and possibly out of the playoffs

Favre got me -2 and I actually won despite him. Thank you Earnest Graham and Steven Jackson.

I shockingly ended up winning my game, even though Favre got me negative points. I thought for sure I had lost because going into last night, I was only ahead by 10 points, and my opponent had the NE D left to play. Points and Yards count against our D, and I figured the Pats D would do well against the Ravens struggling offense. I ended up winning by 6 points since he only got 4 points from the NE Defense. :lmao: I'm still headed for the toilet bowl this year, but I like heading into it with some momentum going.
