FBG Fathers Day Orlando Food Emergency Edition (1 Viewer)

I am staying off property near Disney.  It was my birfday and Father's Day today.  Trying to find a good place that I can take a 2&5 year old to.  Thoughts?  Italian, pizza, anything else.....  I don't want to do Disney as I am coming back sans the kids in February so I will do that then.

Don't know the Lake Buena Vista area all that well (seems like it's all chains down there) and REALLY don't know where to go with 2 young kids. That said, if you want pizza, your best best in that area is probably either Giordano's (Chicago deep dish) or NYPD (NY style.) There are likely tons of family-friendly restaurants down that way but I can't really vouch for any of them. The only places I frequent anywhere near there that I can tell you are outstanding wouldn't be places you'd want to take a 2 year old (Christini's, Eddie V's, etc.)

Thanks.  I was looking at the 2 you mentioned and also NYPD.  Was thinking about ##### last resort to keep them entertained,  staying at Bonnet Creek and there is supposed to be a good strakhouse in the Waldorf but I am not bringing the boys there.

That's the problem I'm running into trying to think of something to tell you. There are lots of good steakhouses all over the area but I wouldn't bring a 2 year old to any of them. If you want BBQ, there's a 4 Rivers Smokehouse in Hunter's Creek (probably a 20 minute drive, give or take) that would be accommodating of children. Maybe look in Celebration. I'm not there much, but that whole town is built to be family friendly, it's close to where you are, and I've heard that they have some good eateries there.

Also, if you want Italian and aren't averse to chains, there's a Maggianos on International Drive and a Buca di Beppo at the Florida Mall. Certainly don't hold a candle to Christini's, but you can definitely bring kids to either place.

How about a cornhole.  Just you an I at Christinis's E.G.

My wife: An e what?

$5 and the accordion player will serenade us with Metallica as we gaze longingly at one another across the table.

Pizza Bruno is someplace I want to go to over there.

I think @Quez is still over there too

You go up the road to Captiva?  Mucky Duck?
We stayed at South Seas on a Captiva actually. I tried to go tho the Mucky Duck but a 2yo and 5yo plus a 45 minute wait didn't jive.

side note:

Bubble Room: Orange Cake

Captiva Inn:  Key Lime Pie

pinnochios and love boat for ice cream
